Bear In mind these are the older and lower power 800 lumen versions.

For anyone wanting the 1100 lunens version (most people?), I can’t help but think that a lot of people would be better off buying two of these and selling the hub/s if buying them just for the bulbs? Could even use the money from selling the hubs to buy a dimmer as well.

Didn’t realise they had changed the brightness. Is it the same for the GU10’s? I need to get some new colour onew and I’m unsure which? They all seem to be 350 lumens

I have 20+ Hue bulbs, including most types and brightness levels. For the 806 lumen bulb, you don't want a room and bigger than 8sqm. They are too dull.

Concur, and I think that's still being generous. 1100 is the minimum you want for like an ordinary 3x3 bedroom.

The 800 ones are for lamps IMO. Or very small rooms like cloakroom/hall main lights. And bear in mind that the output varies quite a lot across colours, with the output quoted being a specific range of white with the rest being duller, sometimes by quite a lot.

Fun fact, after I returned these for exactly that reason I must have forgotten to reset the bridge because I got a notification of a user addition to my account, somebody apparently bought my returned pack and set it up for themselves... over a year later! (edited)

Agree with everyone when it comes to the 800 bulbs... We've relegated ours to lamps and use the new ones for ceiling lights.

But this is a great deal nonetheless! (edited)
