    ICBW (someone please correct me if I am) but, without the Hue bridge, you are limited to a BT connection between app and lamp and have no Alexa, etc control. That BT connection can be problematic if you are trying to control several.

    Still, heat added - not long ago I bought just a standard (OK a bit more light output) lamp from a local shop for about this much.

    You can connect the bulb directly to an Echo, if it has ZigBee built in (the bulb does)

    It is marked as a 13.5W LED bulb on amazon, but the energy rating label says it consumes 16Kw over 1000hr and although I don’t know how they calculate that I imagine it doesn’t factor in standby hours to the energy calculation, therefore it must be a 13.5W lightbulb + 2.5W Hue Smart functionality

    I have some Philips hue light fittings that are a sealed unit and they are rated at 2200lumens with a 24.5W consumption, so about 100lumens/watt which makes 1600lumens at 13.5W look pretty good, but maybe that would be reduced if fitted behind a panel like my light fittings…. (edited)
