    Top Tip if you own a Sony TV that you use with your PS5 you can use the TV remote from that SONY TV with the PS5 console to control it so no need to buy this additional TV remote

    Additionally if you should also be able to use your LG, Toshiba,Hisense TV remote with your PS5 (moreso if you bought your TV within the last 5 years) So may be worth testing before you splash out on this dedicated PS5 remote

    Yep, what you're looking for is HEC connectivity, I think by default its on in the PS5's settings, but if not its simple to set up

    A good deal for sure, however a PS5 eats about 20 times more power than something like a firestick. I know not everyone cares about things like this, but its worth considering before using the PS5 like this, as using a PS5 for 5 hours a day for watching TV will cost you. Without doing exact calculations, a PS5 for streaming would cost around £2.30 per week streaming for 5 hours per day. Compare that to a firestick which would work out to about 11p for the same period.

    As I stated, my calculations are rough calculations and I would need to plug them into a power monitor to get real figures. However, its clear that a firestick uses way less power and is more energy efficient and would pay for itself quickly if you dont have one.

    Heard that this thing drains batteries like no other. So just be prepared to swap it out a lot!

    I bought this for the Mrs as she isn't very good at using controllers/consoles and it's perfect. Pushing any of the streaming buttons turns on the ps5 and launches into the relevant service bypassing the home screen.

    Why isnt there a media player for the PS5? It seems we are going backwards on this. PS3 had a decent one. PS4 had a crappy one and now PS5 nothing. They could at least allow someone else to make a decent one (excluding plex because I'm not paying for that). On Xbox (Xbox one S) there was a good choice. (edited)
