Go for an electric one , much better control

If it is induction compatible you have great control.

Unfortunately mine is not but I can use a camping stove when I want to use it as an autoclave, never used it for cooking.

Honestly, these are beautifully made, look gorgeous on the stove top, will be able to be passed down to your grandkids.... and are completely redundant unless you want to cook somewhere with no electric.

Instant pots regularly drop close to this, and they are so much nicer to use. No more carrying the super heavy pot to the sink, built in timer and pressure settings, and other functions on some models like sous vide, slow cooking... they ain't even that much larger.

totally agree. if natural gas supply is not problem, then this is a very good option.
