    Why do they make saddles so damm uncomfortable!

    Unfortunately it can be a struggle for some to find a comfortable saddle, but it's not really about how they "make" them. Everyone's built different, and you might need different saddle widths depending on the distance between your sit bones, or a different radius depending on what sort of riding you do and your fit on the bike. If you're implying that they should just be built with more padding, well there are big seats like that around and they can help for some if you're having difficulties getting started. The issue is that a well fitting bike saddle will put the pressure through your sit bones, a wider padded saddle will put all of that pressure into the surrounding muscle and tissue, which can cut off blood flow and actually become even more uncomfortable after riding for 10 minutes or so.

    So, mine arrived today and I have been sent a completely different saddle. Got a SDG Bell Air 3.

    Also, it now appears to be back in stock. (edited)
