"Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only." booo but voting hot anyway for people who do get it. The ones I get are usually 80% off and only for 24hrs.

I got the Max £1 Final Value Fees deal a couple of weeks ago but not this time. Just tried the 80% off Final Value Fees and that has worked. Would have preferred the £1 fees but glad I have been accepted for one of the offers!

5 times in a row I was eligible. Now, when I actually need it, I don't qualify...Neither for the 70 and 80% fee. Hot anyway. (edited)

Does anyone know if you can change the price during one of these offers?

Or can you cancel an item and relist it? Or do you need to make it from scratch to get the £1 FVF

If you list up an item during the offer & edit the price after the offer expiry date, the offer stays, so it's best to list up everything you're planning to sell for the next 2 weeks/1 month & edit their prices when you are actually getting rid of them

Hi, apologies if this has been asked before but does the item need to sell within the dates specified or be listed within the dates? Ie can I set a 7 day auction? Thanks in advance

Just list it in the specified time and check the TS & C's for any rules like multiple item listings not being allowed etc

What sort of stuff do you guys sell on eBay to make money?
    Flyer01's avatar

Anything that you can think of and anything that can be sold. Look at the Ebay categories if you really can't use your imagination. Sellers are usually the last people who want to incentivise someone else to begin selling what they do - turkeys and Christmas - but, really, my first line holds true. Go through your house and scan anything with a barcode to see its value on Ebay. Then use the listings and competed listings to check the potential value of anything that doesn't have a barcode. Focus from the high price itemd to the low price items - the effort is the same, you may as well get more money flowing in faster. Keep receipts for anything you buy to sell in case you find you can make a job from it, but few can now that Covid has saturated what Amazon hadn't already absorbed.

First time seller on eBay here, I know it starts on the 19th and ends on the 22nd, but does the item also have to sell within this time period otherwise I have to pay their normal fees?

It only needs to be listed during this time.

It also won't reapply if the auction gets automatically relisted after not selling. You'd have to wait for a new offer and manually relist to get the deal again. (edited)

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but is it max £1 fees total across all listings made in that time, or £1 each item?

Got accepted! Great as I've got a few higher-value items to sell and this will save me ££'s in FVFs.

Noticed this, it’s due to how well you sell, I.e you sell a couple of grands worth of stuff one offer, you get downgraded to the next % of fees next event. Did the same at 80% but now I can only apply for 70%. Looks like it’s how they stop you constantly taking advantage.

Accepted the last £1 offer and listed 10 items - 9 sold and then 1 automatically relisted. I've tried to accept this offer and get the 'expired' message, could this be due to having a live listing?
In addition, if you go for one of the lower tier offers (80% or 70%) do you ever get the £1 offer again?
Tempted to try, but it would appear that you are downgraded forever.
