Escape into worlds that feel, look and sound truly real as virtual reality gaming takes a huge generational leap forward with PlayStation®VR2.

CUTTING-EDGE PERFORMANCE

Enjoy 4K HDR visuals4, a 110º field of view and advanced graphical rendering.

PLAYSTATION VR2 SENSE™ TECHNOLOGY

Feel real sensations and emotions with eye tracking, headset feedback, 3D Audio and highly intuitive controls.

QUICK SETUP

Jump straight into the action with a simple one-cable connection to your PS5™ console.

THRILLING NEW WORLDS

Surround yourself in a new generation of genre-defining VR games.

PLAYSTATION®VR2 HEADSET

4K HDR DISPLAY3

Feast your eyes on vibrant, super-sharp 4K High Dynamic Range visuals4 that bring breathtaking virtual reality environments into clear focus.

Revel in imagery of superior quality as two 2000 x 2040 OLED displays deliver over four times the resolution generated by the original PlayStation VR headset for a comfortably smooth visual experience at up to 120fps.

INSIDE-OUT TRACKING

Play with freedom and experience different VR play styles, as PlayStation VR2 tracks you and your controllers through four cameras embedded in the headset.

Your movements and what you look at is reflected in-game, without the need for an external camera.

EYE TRACKING

Discover rich emotional experiences as you interact with the game world and other players.

Eye tracking cameras detect when your eyes are open and track their movements and the emotions they convey – which can be reflected through in-game situations.

When combined with your headset and controllers’ positions and actions, this allows you to fully express yourself and communicate with others in online multiplayer2 in exciting new ways.

Eye tracking also follows your line of sight when aiming or looking around, and advanced foveated rendering techniques improve the visual experience by adjusting resolutions to pinpoint and enhance whatever you’re focusing on.

HEADSET FEEDBACK

Feel subtle, responsive headset vibrations at key moments during gameplay.

Created by a single built-in motor, these vibrations add an intelligent tactile element to the sensory immersion experienced as you play.

Detect your character’s elevated pulse during tense moments, the whoosh of objects passing close to your head, or the thrust of your vehicle as you speed forward.

TEMPEST 3D AUDIOTECH

Pinpoint where noises are coming from to experience enhanced, realistic soundscapes, as the audio dynamically adapts to your position and head movements.

Sense a character’s presence as they whisper in your ear, locate friends and enemies by their gunfire or footfall, and experience the creeping dread of a threat approaching from any direction.

OPTIMIZED OPTICS

Enjoy comfortable play sessions through a vast 110º field of view and a light, well-balanced Fresnel lens. The lens adjustment dial allows you to customize spacing between lenses to match your eye position for an optimal onscreen image.

SINGLE CABLE CONNECTION

Jump straight into new virtual worlds with a simple one-cable connection to the PlayStation 5 console’s front USB port. PlayStation VR2 is quick and easy to set up – just plug, play and enjoy.

PLAY AREA

Set your play area to enjoy the best gaming experience possible.

Enjoy freedom of movement with Roomscale1– or play while seated or standing, depending on your room size and the VR play style the game supports.

To play Roomscale compatible games and experiences, a minimum 2 metres by 2 metres available space is required.

PLAYSTATION VR2 SENSE™ CONTROLLER

ORB DESIGN

Enjoy freedom of movement for an easy, realistic and natural gaming experience through a well-balanced and ergonomic design that allows you to totally focus on comfortably exploring the world you’re in.

FINGER TOUCH DETECTION

Motion and interact with items and environments naturally and intuitively with finger touch detection.

Even when you’re not actively pressing a button, finger touch detection knows how your hand is positioned, so the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller can accurately replicate your hand movements and let you reach out and touch the in-game world.

Communicate using hand signals, perform dexterous tasks with your fingers and interact with in-game objects and equipment around you.

HAPTIC FEEDBACK

Feel realistic, detailed responses to your in-game actions with haptic feedback.

From subtle, precise vibrations to intense pulsations, different sensations in the game world can be delivered to your hands.

Sense how it feels to fire or strike with different weapons, craft tools, touch different textures and travel through different terrains.

ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS

Experience varying levels of force and tension as you interact with your in-game gear and environments.

From pulling back an increasingly tight bowstring, to crushing objects with your hands or feeling a weapon jam in the heat of combat, adaptive triggers physically connect you to your on-screen actions for a deep sense of immersion.

ANALOG STICKS AND BUTTONS

Access extra input and interaction options with traditional analog sticks and action buttons.

The Triangle, Square, Cross and Circle buttons are split across the two controllers, along with an Options button and a Create button.

As well as the adaptive triggers, both controllers also feature a ‘grip’ button to grab in-game objects.

I adjusted the Village settings to vingnette when turning and show cutscenes as flat. Made a huge difference as I used to feel a bit queasy also with standard settings - hope this helps

    Hey Sony.

Call me when you hit £300.

There's nothing to indicate that it isn't selling as well as they hoped - it's all poor journalism floating about.

Don't expect a price drop any time soon! PSVR2 is phenomenal and I believe people have a lot to be excited about at tomorrow's PlayStation Showcase

If it was selling well Sony would be shouting from the rooftops about it. They're not shy about letting people know when something is doing well.

    Wait...what????!!!

The showcase was horrible. Actually the vr games was some of the best, but that is not saying much. All those generic Final Fantasy ripoffs...

Been enjoying mine playing cross play walkabout mini golf with my mate on quest pro. Not sure a round of mini golf is worth the combined £1600 but it’s good fun nonetheless

You can cross from PSVR2 with Quest?

Can see price drop after 12 months

Particularly if more games are not in pipeline. GT7 looks amazing so i really want one!!

If they can do a good bundle deal with the PS5 I might bite, but it would have to be pretty good :-)

The tech is in the console. SONY are at it. We're getting scammed all ways.

Where did Sony pluck this price out of when releasing? Totally obscene pricing

I got one from curry’s last week and I love it. Just hoping Sony backs it up with the games

Watch the Sony showcase tomorrow. This will be the "real" launch of the PSVR2 now that they've recently shipped stock to the main retail outlets in advance of the showcase. Sony have already said that the showcase will be showing new PSVR2 games and will last longer than usual, at just over an hour.

I'm personally waiting for a PSVR2 + games bundle box. I got PSVR day one, and about a year later, you could get PSVR for £50-£100 less than I paid, with 7 games (one of those was the fantastic RE7.)

You are in for a treat when you get your hands on RE8.

I got mine the the other week and I love it

Great deal but I will wait for the showcase tomorrow. Half-Life Alyx and an Astro Bot game and I'm there.
  16. Lloydinio's avatar
I wish they had some decent games for it.

Sony have been making a mess of their USP of great exclusives recently.
