RAM seems soldered, NVME drive can be upgraded. Official Specs: psref.lenovo.com/sys…PDF

I bought Lenova x240 Last year, very very slow machine.. I can't recommend this seller. Cold from me.

You can't really compare a 4th gen dual core to an 8th gen quadcore at all. You bought an old slow machine, what did you expect.

Heads up, this stacks with the Nectar 10x and 5x promos. Just got confirmed 2,240 nectar points. That's a further £11.20 discount. You must have saved BOTH the two promos on your ebay account for them to activate

Cannot recommend this seller highly enough. Laptops are clean and appear very lightly used at most. Ordered from a previous deal for a T480 with this processor/16GB RAM. Encountered blue screen and contacted seller. They were communicative quickly and promptly sent a courier to collect and swap for a replacement with a minor upgrade which has been brilliant. Can’t get over value for money vs spec.

If you have a good experience with this seller, that's lucky but ask someone who didn't and see some of the other threads. I posted the HP EliteBook 745 deal and needed to return them, I later found out they didn't have replacements so accepted the return but they also blocked me from buyer from them again on the basis that 'anyone who returns something for grading gets blocked' but I could plead my case... no thanks. One had a broken Ethernet port and another had a broken internal hinge mount, these are not minor grading issues. Also battery meant to be 80%+ but was between 60-70%. They also shipped every single 745 still linked to an enterprise/corporate account which needed some extra steps to remove. I won't be using them again.

I've used them a few times but can't recommend them after this experience. I would also ask how a fully tested machine, like yours, got past testing with a blue screen fault or the issues I had. This seems like a high volume, low price, quantity over quality setup.

Is this a good deal then? Would be just using for general stuff ,not gaming or heavy work.

I got one about the same price last time - really impressed. Absolutely spot on for general use and also runs Android AOK if you want it to. Mine (same seller) was immaculate and feels "new".

I got one from them last time it was on offer with the coupon.
At the time it wasnt a FHD screen so this looks like a better deal for the same money.
The first one I got had a badly marked screen and looked rough, the replacement has a very minor mark in the same area but was acceptable as it isn't visible in use.
There was no issue with replacing it and customer service was great.
It looks like the trackpad buttons can hit the screen when shut if squeezed so I have added some rubber buffers to the top of the display surround to prevent any repeat.
Other than that, it is a great little device.

If you are looking for a case, this one is a great fit...

It arrived today and is very nearly in pristine condition. Just a few VERY minor marks on the case but otherwise feels like a new laptop. Super impressed with it for the stupidly small amount of money paid.

Very happy with mine. There is one tiny nick near the USB-C slot but otherwise it looks absolutely brand new. The battery cycle count was 175. I wiped Windows and slapped Linux on it and it runs amazingly well. Bargain. Thanks OP!

Incredible deal for a fab laptop. Got one from itzoo on last deal but only HD display. Can't understand why 99% people looking for a small laptop would buy anything else!!

Wow, amazing deal for the X280. I have two of these, they feel like premium ultrabooks with the mag-alloy chassis and you'll also get typical ThinkPad MIL-SPEC ruggedness and reliability. Slimmer than the X270. With this seller you wouldn't need to play the 'will it be HD or full HD?' lottery you need to play with ITZOO. Only downside would be the soldered RAM but then there's a lot you can do with 8GB for general purpose use before RAM becomes a limitation. You may also get a reprinted keyboard.
Excellent price for a premium ultrabook that used to cost £1K brand new!

You won't get anything better brand new in this price range.

Good that it has Windows 11 not 10. Sometime in the not too distant future 10 becomes technically obsolete. I know there are workarounds but I'd prefer something which genuinely can run it.

So I ordered one. It said 160 Nectar points but I guess the multiples will come later?

EDIT eBay account is showing 2240 points, happy days!! (edited)

Go on this page maybe a bit after the order is confirmed: ebay.co.uk/nec…ome - it should show the bonus points. I got 2,240 nectar that is on my nectar balance already

got mine last week. very impressed. it's got wear on one corner, but that's it.

please be aware the supplied Windows image contains some dodgy Chrome redirection plugin. build yourself a Windows 11 USB installation disk and reinstall it from fresh. Microsoft have all the required drivers for it, so make sure you connect to the internet after the rebuild and ensure Windows Update completed 100%. it should take about 3 passes. microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

the BIOS and UEFI firmware may also need an upgrade - there's an automated tool on Lenovo's support page for the machine, which can be found under 'drivers'. pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-x280-type-20kf-20ke/downloads

also, please note that Intel confirmed a Remote Elevation of Privilege bug (CVE-2017-5689, SA-00075) in its Management Technology on May 1, 2017. a lot of manufacturers are disabling it, and I have too via the BIOS. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Active_Management_Technology (edited)
