In case it's of interest to anyone, I was just reading today that native microsoft OneDrive integration is being piloted on Chrome OS v115 which will make life a bit easier for those chromebook users using Microsoft Office instead of Google Apps for their wordprocessing, spreadsheets, etc.

I have the 13" version of this, (Duet 5,) and it's a fantastic device, that's so much better than the original Duet. The biggest upgrade is the CPU, going from the really slow MTK8183, (Octane 10k score,) to the Snapdragon 7c gen 2, (Octane 25k.) This is also a device that really can last 14 hours on battery. If you want an Android tablet though, buy an Android tablet. Chrome OS in tablet mode is getting better, but still isn't really there. This is the perfect holiday device as it can last a long haul flight and is powerful enough to get some real work done when in a hotel room for a week.

Is the speed differential that great?
I love the form factor of my duet and it's capable of virtually everything I ask of it, except for getting a move on.

Got this for £180 over the Prime days, absolutely fantastic device, screen is stunning, and keyboard is decent. Great feel to the whole package. We use for media, browsing, mail, casual work, etc and it's perfect

Edit - our £180 Duet machine might be different (older?) spec to this one (edited)

Providing you're good with knowing what to expect from a chromebook, it's a great device.

I got the 4GB one cheap on ebay a couple weeks ago to replace my original duet and it's lovely to use as something that you can easily carry around with you, and the fabric covering makes it more like a book than a laptop when it's closed. Handy for study/work when moving around and not at a fixed desk. If you're not moving around with it though I've known people hate the form factor as it's hard to use on your lap with the keyboard. Have to admit I use it as a 2nd device; when I'm at home I may use it as a tablet, but if I need a keyboard or need more power, I'd use my better performance windows clamshell laptop instead.

The 4GB model was reduced a lot on amazon prime day but I doubt it'll come back at that price anytime soon.

I'm very tempted to get this as I've also a 15% off my next electrical purchase on Amazon which would save me a further £45.35 making this just £243.65 :/ (edited)

Did they really add 80 pixels in one dimension so they could call it "2K"?
    Alvie's avatar
2k doesn't officially mean anything. But I'd argue, if it did, it'd be more accurate for 1920/~2000 ish horizontal pixels rather than 2560 horizontal pixels.

There is a DCI-2K for cinema which means: 2048 × 1080. This is pretty close to that.

I think consumers somehow took a hold of this term and once 4K came out, somehow adjusted the meaning of 2K to be QHD even though it's not accurate.
