There appears to be a glitch if you go to customise it allows you to change for the 40mm carbon wheels for free, however not showing stock till 2025?

For anyone wanting one anyway it might be worth trying when ordering

They sometimes deliver a couple of days early.

Nice looking bike this. How good a deal this is I'm not convinced. Wouldn't buy a steel rim-brake road bike personally.
Think I'd prefer the disc version.
It's a good deal for the right person. Some carbon wheels and finishing kit would turn it into a lovely bike.

Calipers are mustard, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. That said I prefer hydraulic brakes.

Bit expensive for a rim job

    Everyone likes rim jobs.

Worth getting this over a triban 540? I mainly use it with non clip ins for an hour cycle every week or so.

Probably not. The Tiagra-equipped version of the Endurance 725 is less than half the price and you really won't notice the difference.

Is this equivalent to a D2K gold star? I will cherish this moment forever. 🥇

Looks nice but hydraulic disc brakes essential for me, wouldn't chance anything less on the road.

Have a Thorn tourer made with Reynolds 725 complete with tourers carrier on rear and front attachments if anyone in east London is interested for half the price above has many cosmetic easily though repaired paint scrathes via a new coat of paint

Amazing price for the Ultegra but very poor wheelset. If there was another choice with 105 and better wheels I'd opt for it.

That's probably an acceptable compromise to get this spec at this price - and the easiest upgrade a year down the line. Aksiums are just about OK, although they are a pretty bargain bucket wheelset in my experience (I've owned 2 sets).

Has anyone figured out how to avoid the rather disappointing £40 delivery charge? If not, then I suggest that the OP corrects the price for on the deal.

Look under the price on UKhotdeals..

Love steel but this 725 chunky modern frame will weigh so much than my spritely silver-brazed 1970s 753 Reynolds with a Suntour Cyclone, regardless of the fancy modern Ultegra group. Feels like we are going backwards.

I actually prefer rim brake bikes over disc for road, because they are, and feel much lighter. Gravel mountain biking you’ll need disc
