Had the same problem yesterday for the kettle, toaster, microwave.
Good luck to anyone finding stock.

Thanks for the post. All stores in our vicinity showed "not in stock" for this kettle. But managed to get the £8 toaster (click and collect) at the Wilko, 26 miles away, on the way to meet family.

I have this kettle. OK but you can't pour very quickly, angle it too high and water goes all over.

I've got the black version of this kettle and suffer the same pouring issue too. Basically, the kettle leaks if you tilt the kettle too far from vertical - I'm somewhat incredulous this wasn't picked up in product testing and is arguably a safety hazard (boiling hot water on hands anyone?).

You probably won't tilt it too far if you fill it up for 1-2 cups worth, but if you fill it a lot further, you might be tilting the kettle more than normal (which is how I found the design fault).

We have this kettle and it's awful. The lid design is such that if you tip it a little too quickly, the water splashes backwards out of the gap between the lid and the body of the kettle, pouring it all over the worktop, cooker hob or even your feet if you're unlucky. Also, once it gets to boiling point, it doesn't switch off for ages, so unless you flick it off manually it fills the whole kitchen with steam. Avoid like the plague - it's cheap for a reason! As well as the leak design flaw (which I commented on in an earlier message), it does seem like the cut off temperature is set a bit too high for this kettle like you said. This is again arguably a second safety issue on top of the leak issue - fill the kettle to the 1.7 litre max and let it boil. Yep, boiling hot water starts jumping out of the spout because of the extended time it keeps the power on when it's already hit boiling point.

I do wonder if this a "fire sale" (or "boil sale" - ha!) prior to discontinuing this model because of the two glaring safety flaws? It does seem that the Russel Hobbs product testers were on vacation when this got released. It's certainly put me right off buying any of their products in the future if 2 very obvious flaws are present in something as basic as a kettle.
