    I'd probably spend a few quid more and get the 970 Evo Plus from Amazon UK, it's a slightly better drive.

    Echo that. 970 Evo Plus has DRAM whilst 980 does not have.

    Excellent drive for that, would pick it over the 970 Evo (and even some of the gen4 drives with DRAM).
    Obviously not for those wanting the high sequential speeds of gen4 for large file transfers, but for everyone else it's a great option.
    When it comes to gen3 drives, they were fighting right at the top.
