Nice spot and timing. I was literally cleaning out my FR basket of old entries when I saw this

Anything else from France upcoming today? So I (and others) know to hold ordering to combo postage.

There is a bit of a deal attached to this one (3 for the price of 4), but I bet you can't find 4 items!!

On Sky Cinema for free this Friday (for those that have a subscription).

“Well it’s not free then is it?….yada yada yada”

All films end up on TV at some point. I don’t see what relevance that has to a physical copy of the movie. People still buy discs regardless.

This was in the Amazon and HMV "2 for £30" up until a few days ago... I was thinking about nabbing it then, but have heard mixed opinions regarding the film.

HMV also had John Wick 4 and the new Mario movie as part of the "2 for £30", but they were also taken off HMV's promotion a few days ago.

It's down to personal situation. A lot of people don't have 4K players yet, or not in every room like blu-ray so you get more use of them.

If you buy the UK edition of most big films these days it's a "pick one or double dip" situation. So for Scream it'd be (2 for £30) £15, then a blu-ray buy on top (call it another £8-£15.)

Buying international versions like this or Fast X from Italy they still do combo editions with the blu-ray included as a free bonus.

So in this case it's £15 for the 4K in the UK, or £15 for the 4K (futureproofing) and blu-ray to play now.

When you look at it that way, when you buy from overseas you save a fortune in avoiding a double dip. Discounts just make it even better. (edited)

Oh I’m perfectly calm, and not at all little. Just trying to explain how there is still a market for physical discs in today’s age of streaming. It is becoming more of a niche market for sure.

Physical discs are going to become increasingly more niche in an increasingly more digital marketplace - whether it be games, movies, or music.

The more obscure releases will definitely be more sought after once they sell out.
