    I have this and it’s bad - don’t buy

I’m with this person - I have the more expensive WV270 solely for my car and it’s been very underwhelming.

Bought this for the car. Does seats and mats. Crevice tool to short to get down the sides.
10 min run time is to short. It is long enough to whizz round the car but next time you need it, its dead. It spends most of its life on charge. Had it 2 weeks. Still considering returning it. Ony the rotating head is decent really. Off button is in a stupid place and I turn it off by mistake many times. Pick up strength is ok.

For those that are not sure who to believe, whether it's good or bad. Just note suction is 4.5kpa-6kpa (information from expertreviews.Co.Uk) which is very poor for the price. There are many alternatives with higher suction.

    One example:
catsMeow Hand Held Vacuuming Cordless 15000Pa Powerful,Car Hoover with Blower 6-In-1 Multifunction,Handheld Vacuum Cleaner for Car(Grey,2PCS HEPA Filters) amzn.eu/d/b…FpS

Now I'm not sure if this one is good specifically I just shared it because it had a 40% off discount on it and was 15kpa. But I bought a 15kpa car vacuum on aliexpress for 30 quid and it has great suction compared to my 6kpa one I bought 2 years ago which struggled to take tiny rocks in my car

Not everyone wants to buy an obscure brand electical appliance nor want to shop at Ali express. I've got a Dyson V10 for my main vacuum and I love it, but I'm sure you can argue I can find an obscure Chinese brand on Alibaba for half the price but I and a lot of other people just want the piece of mind of buying from a reputable company, that its safe, well reviewed and has a solid guarantee. Love this machine. Long battery life. Powerful. Use daily

10 min running time from new but it will decrease to around 5-7 minutes after a year once the battery drains. Just too short of time
    Raseo7's avatar
Hmmm. 4 hours charge time for 10 mins usage doesn't sound that great. Especially if the battery drains over time.

Very tempted by this. Anyone have first hand experience with one please?
    Jessie72's avatar
Yes. Brilliant machine. Really worth buying. I have a shedding cat and the pet tool picks up all of it. Battery lasts a long time. Had a few handhelds and this one tops them all. Especially also like the crevice tool attachment. Much easier for skirting boards than Cordless vacuum cleaner. If mine ever failed, I would be happy to pay full price for a new one.

Would this be suitable to use in the car?
    JordanB96's avatar
Yes, I use mine regularly in the car and it’s perfectly adequate at keeping on top of things. Maybe needs a proper hoover every few months at most if you like it to be pristine.

3 Camels suggests this is pretty much it's normal price on Amazon so not really much of a deal

Camel says its never been cheaper than this since Oct/Nov last year and possibly a January blip. Considering the rate of inflation I hardly doubt this will be much cheaper this year. Plus I needed one now! 😁

This ok for car? With 10min run time has anyone used this or could recommend something around this price range(£50-60) (edited)
    Jessie72's avatar
I have one. Excellent for car. Especially crevice tool for those hard to reach areas
  10. hedgyhog's avatar
Can you use this to vacuum the pet directly?
Also, what's the smallest pet you can use it on without it getting sucked up?
    Jessie72's avatar
Probably needs to be larger than a gerbil I would reckon…
  11. chrisual_.'s avatar
Which pets are able to operate this?
  12. pokemon2's avatar
no details on the battery volt, but it is really small as it is 10min cleaning but 4 hours charging time. With electricity price rocket so high. Quick brush or cable is cheaper, it might be a nusiance, but you would have to leave the vac charging all time, so the energy of topping every time, 4mins use is crazy lol.
I laughed at the comment at amazon, he cleaned the whole house with one charge, 10mins, must be lucky guy.

Thanks ops, been looking at these for a while. My local Asda keeps advertising in stock but actually they have nothing in-stock... Finally ordered from a reliable supplier!
  14. Richard_Mathews's avatar
Good for stairs and cat hair?
    kevcrawfy's avatar
Got an older model and it’s good for stairs, need to put a bit of effort but does the job!
  15. Stesha83's avatar
Haha this wouldn’t do the job with my dog. The full fat shark can barely cope. I have to pull a sausage shaped blob of dog hair out of it every couple of weeks.
    dberrypro's avatar
You might be surprised. This is not the same model as the bigger sharks.
  16. ewinslet's avatar
I wouldn’t use anything less than a Dyson v10 power wise (aw)

Still a bit of a pain as filter gets clogged quickly
  17. sbr40's avatar
Same price in Asda if you have one local.
    rik111's avatar
yes it has been mentioned several times....
  18. chrishartley72's avatar
    Same price in Asda
  19. Stormfish's avatar
Asda were showing OOS when I went to buy last week so this is well timed. Heat!
  20. Vish1's avatar
If it’s got poor battery and poor reviews why is it getting the hottest deal? Is there anything I’m missing out?
  21. spinks's avatar
    10min run time
  22. pow26's avatar
    Might have it in Asda?
  23. Mayank0905's avatar

How does it compare against the Dyson V6 / V7 for getting hairs * (edited)
  25. farook_yakub's avatar
    1-2 months for dispatch
  26. slliw's avatar
Bought one for Xmas and we’ve found it really useful to get to those hard to get bits. Never had an issue with the battery time.

We use this alongside our Sharks lift away
  27. FrugalFergal's avatar
Can anyone reccomend a wall mount for this?
  28. nickyzizou's avatar

That cat is NOT actually there! #Photoshopped

I switch off the main power and even big company tells the staff to switch off. I am not fan of having main power on 24_7 to ensure the battery is on when I want to use the device. It is not eco friendly device. I rather use a handheld cordless vac. I have sockets nearby so cable is not issue.
