Spotted today in store at Tesco (Milton, Cambridgeshire)

It's big!
It's cheap!
It ticks a lot of boxes!

Sharp are not what they were, but it's probably still better than many nobrand tellys

Seems to have Google assistant support, android based smart features, HDR10 and HLG, Freeview play included, 2020 model from what I can see

This tv is pants ignore people saying this was high spec in 2019. Sharp made by vestel but vestels better tvs come under some panasonic monikers and amazons fire tvs. Both better buys or go tcl or hisense at this budget. In summary id never recommend buying a tv from a supermarket. (edited)

Totally agree with this, bought this today and totally underwhelmed with the picture quality, hence to say it’s going back tomorrow

Anyone know the measurements of the box itself? Would be super awkward to get there and pay only to find out doesn't fit in the boot

To answer my own question in case it helps someone here, the TOSHIBA version I just bought, the box is 160cm X 100cm X 16cm.

Can't really find any reviews of this exact model! Guessing it's a specially negotiated Tesco special - it's a UMC model, who also make Blaupunkt, and a few others including for Technika, Tesco own brand. Out in time for BF!

Don't think it will be anything special, but even cheap TVs are pretty good nowadays!

Signage seems mass printed, and it's newly shipped in, so have no reason to think it's a local special Not even a big Tesco!

These are *not* the exact same model but appear very closely related:

I don't think it's as budget as you think, this tv was released in 2019! the tech it has inside of it is pretty good for a tv that's 3 years old meaning it was not a budget tv when released (but compared to the offerings available now it doesn't seem anything special)

this TV is pretty outstanding, only thing stopping me purchasing this is it's an VA panel. I need IPS.

except for that it has a 20w audio system and even 15w speaker for base. I've not even seen LG offering a separate speaker for base, I mean it's not going to blow you away but it should be better without. I rather wait and find a good deal for an IPS, but anyone after a 65" TV that isn't concerned about viewing angle and is okay with VA panel would be happy with this IMO.

I'm stumped by the VA vs IPS discussion.

I've not unboxed it yet as waiting for new house to complete renovation and got a HiSense 65" U8 IPS flagship, mainly because of the price it was £450 from Costco but the discussion reading reviews had IPS down as a downside! I've got a u shape sofa and spinning cuddle chair so viewing angle is crucial so happy I went IPS.

I've got a VA 55" too which is meant to be better for contrast so will compare once both are up!

For the price the picture is excellent. Brighter and better picture then my LG 55 inch after a couple tweaks. Can't say it's the best hdr but for the price .. Its enough that it's made my friends jealous and wanting one.. Only Downside is nowhere to keep the packaging and nowhere to register the guarantee and no instructions other then how to install the feet. (edited)
