Toying between this and the LG Evo C3, which is about £400 cheaper. But I don't want to use a soundbar so does anyone know which has the most adequate sound out of the box?

Lg shop is a complete shambles, thinking of returning faulty G3 I bought last month and buying this instead.

Interesting. My last tv purchase was a Sony 2009 model bought in 2010 that was something of a bargain at the time. It was this one Sony KDL-37W5500 37in 1080p 100Hz LCD TV £399.99 @ Sainsbury's *NSTORE* | hotukdeals and has never gone wrong. It's done well but obviously showing its age compared to the latest tvs. Now an impending house move and very limited space in the lounge means that I want a tv that will hang very flat to the wall and have decent enough sound quality out of the box without resorting to soundbars (if I can help it). Have a Yamaha 5.1 receiver and speakers but I may not have room for those and besides the other half can't cope with more than 1 remote so even if I set it up it will only get used on occasion. Popped into Currys the other day to educate myself on the latest models and all the OLED displays were clearly very good, was particularly impressed with a LG G3 Evo 77" display as it had a breathtaking picture, hung very flat to the wall and despite being way too big for the new lounge was very impressive - I have no idea what its native sound quality is like.

So would Sony A80L sit flat to the wall and have decent sound quality? (edited)
