Think this is the cheapest the 65" model of this has been?

Experience the realism of a 4K HDR OLED picture, combined with Acoustic Surface Audio+ tech for exceptionally accurate sound. Powered by Sony's Cognitive XR processor. The A90J's elegant One Slate panel is enriched by the stunning colour of XR Triluminos PRO, while Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos sound combine to immerse you in a cinematic experience. Google TV brings you a huge range of apps including your favourite streaming services, and you can control it by voice with the Google Assistant.

4K OLED screen
The pixels of the Organic LED display are self-illuminating, adjusting independently, for true depth and colour gradation. With 8 million pixels, this 4K OLED screen produces impeccably deep blacks, bright whites, and scintillating colour, within a blur-free image that is equally stunning from any angle.

4K UHD resolution with Dolby Vision HDR
This screen has four times the number of pixels than Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail. High Dynamic Range expands light, dark, and every colour in between for a picture that's closer to real life. This set supports multiple HDR formats including Dolby Vision.

Features:

Cognitive Processor XR: uses human perspective analysis to optimise hundreds of thousands of elements in an instant, for stunning contrast, and a picture that feels deep, natural, and real.XR OLED Contrast Pro: boosts every single OLED pixel to give more vibrant and life-like colours while enhancing detail in both dark and light scenes.XR TRILUMINOS Pro: produces a wider palette of colours with an enhanced range of hue and saturation, allowing natural shades and precise detail.XR Motion Clarity: fast moving pictures are smooth and realistic. It delivers a blur-free image without losing brightness; ideal for sport, action and gaming.Acoustic Surface Audio+: sound comes directly from the centre of the screen with actuators behind the TV vibrating to create acoustics that move with the picture.Dolby Atmos Sound: surround sound fills the room for immersive audio realism. Combined with Dolby Vision, it produces a richly cinematic experience.
Google TV
Google TV gives easy access to your favourite content, services and compatible smart devices. Using the built-in mic, you can ask the Google Assistant to connect and communicate with other smart devices, without picking up the remote. You can also find the latest films and TV series on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV, NOW TV and more*. With over 6000 apps available, you can cast from your smart device with Apple Airplay and Google Chromecast built-in too.

Youview catch-up
In addition to a wealth of online entertainment, this set comes with built-in YouView. The seven day scroll back TV guide brings together catch up TV from across BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and My5.** You can also enjoy over 70 live TV channels and radio stations for free, such as BBC 1 & 2, ITV, Channel 4, E4, Channel 5, 5 USA, ITV 2 and Dave.

One Slate design for immersive viewing
Minimalist One Slate design with a seamless bezel edge embraces the screen in a single pane of glass that's naturally elegant and keeps you focused on the picture. It looks and sounds beautiful, whether on a stand or wall-mounted.

Perfect partners
With TVs getting slimmer and built-in speakers getting smaller, choosing the right sound system is more important than ever. Soundbars enhance your TV's sound quality and add that extra audio punch to all your movies, games and TV programmes. More affordable and easier to set up than a full size speaker system, they don't compromise on quality either.

Haven't put the warranty in the title, because I couldn't find anything in description. But Sony replied to a question with this answer 2 days ago, confirming 5 year warranty on there

    Question:
Hey when I register the 5 year warranty on Sony website for XR55A90J it says not eligible, but Sony has commented says it’s eligible?

    Answer:
    Hi,

We can confirm that registering the 5 years warranty is eligible on our website within 90 from purchasing the TV from this link: sony.co.uk/pro…nty . Once the claim has been approved, it will take 3 days for the 5 year warranty contract to be received. Eligible model/dealer combinations should be checked via the ‘Proceed’ button on the claim homepage.

If you still need any further assistance, feel free to contact us by following this link: services.sony.co.uk/sup…act , we will gladly assist you further.

I wonder why people like currys / ao.com aren’t on this list

Decent deal but is 2 years old now! I think the 65 inch G2 is a better tv and a better bet at 1699 myself!

Not disputing that this is a good price for this set though. (edited)

A little bit too late I'd say. I'd pick the g2 over this

Finally, this excellent TV becomes affordable. I remember nearly 2yrs ago going into Currys to have a look at all the OLEDS and the A90J was the only one that really caught the eye for its picture quality, it stood out. The LG G1 was disappointing in comparison (no Panasonics in Currys, which is a shame).

I need an OLED for a bright room however and the A90J is not the brightest unfortunately.

I've had my eye on a new OLED for a while and this is on the shortlist - any deals for the 77" version though? I'm using a 65" B7 that I've had for years and looking for something at least a tad brighter (and newer!).
    trevhib's avatar
They didn't do the 77", you'd have to go all the way to 83".

I bought this in January 2021 for 1,799 from Curry. Defo worth every penny. Thoroughly recommend it, crazy to think the price has only dropped only £250, would have thought it would have been less by now.
    But a great product!

I recently got the C2 for £1134 but this (Sony) is the TV I really wanted! I still think the C2 is probably better value being over £400 cheaper..
    Rich_M's avatar
What size C2? I'm after a 65 and that'd be a steal at that price.
