Retailers offer these new models with 5y warranties, the tech reviews are also positive for these new Vestel lines.

I'll disagree. I had a Toshiba years ago. The power button didn't work after the years of abuse it took. It was out of warranty etc. However I emailed them direct and they fixed the fault and even sent me the packaging to send it away in. Fast forward ten or so years I have the 43 inch model of this TV bought for £130 and it's been flawless. Picture is very good and the sound is exceptional..

Toshiba TV’s aren’t great. Don’t waste your money (speaking from experience)

Agree, i bought a 65 inch 4k toshiba a few years back. OS slow and buggy, constantly having to turn the tv off via the plug because it kept freezing. I just gave it to my sister for free, never again (edited)

Ah the most accurate and reliable reviews on the internet. Not!

I'm afraid I'm in the "Toshiba aren't great" camp. The one we had a few years back had very infrequent updates (important in a smart TV) and average picture quality. In contrast, I've bought for myself and my lad's growing family 2 Hisense TV's and was very impressed both by their quality and their customer service was genuinely superb.

This is a QLED though with Fire TV as well, which Amazon will hopefully maintain well with regular updates & not the original poor Toshiba OS.
