Just how good are these? I'm currently using some Enacfire ones which cost about £25 and fit perfectly and sound great, but the bass isn't quite right and there's no noise cancelling

I ideally want some where if I'm walking outside and there's a bit of wind people can hear me if I'm on a call which is a problem now

I have been through my fair share of Wireless Buds..these are the best by some, the only thing is the "fit" isnt the best, to be clear its nto that they are uncomforatble at all, jsut the main housing of them dont sit really flush to teh ear, a bit more chunky outwards.
The Bass is very smooth but impoartantly clear, not muddy and doesnt boom out the rest of the sound, very controlled. App is decent as it has EQ as well as a "clear Bass"boost. Ton of other options based around where and what kind of noise cancelling kicks in etc.
I use them nearly every time mm in the Gym, and for the msot part they stay in place, thogh I woudl recommened other Foam Tip from Amazon, the ones you get with it dont last that long.
Fpr the money though these are a steal I bought at abotu £250 and feel like its been worth it.

Sprry for bad typing..hate typioing on phone! (edited)

For around £150 you can have a new one directly from Amazon, the deal coming back once every now and then.

I'm fairly sure that they have never been that cheap for new on Amazon.

I wasn't blown away with these when I tried them. Maybe they just didn't fit right? Stick to a nice set of cans like the sony wh-1000xm4/5 (although less portable), much better sound/ANC imho

During calls the noise cancelling doesn't work and picks lot of background noise. Tried number of settings but don't appear to work. When I searched for this issue found it's common which is odd for £250 earbuds.

check if the volume in the Sony Headphones app is cranked up to the max. It is different/independent from your phone's media volume. If it already is...go see a doctor, you are going deaf

Not for me it doesn't. If I Max it on the Headphone app, it also Maxes my media volume.

EDIT: Just to clarify it is only coming up as that when I go to pay! (edited)

Are these better than jabras or earbuds galaxy pro2s? Def cheaper though

If you like bass, then these are better than the galaxy pro 2s, however the pro 2s fit better. (edited)

Ordered from Amazon, wasn't that impressed when I tried them, sounded weak and tinny, also the foam tips made my ears warm and itchy. Switched the foam tips for silicon ones and the difference is chalk and cheese. Sound now punchy and well balanced. The noise cancelling is very good, (not as good as the WH1000XM4 which I also own). Recently wore them on a 8hr flight and they were fine, with NC on that was about the limit of their battery. On the street though you probably will want them in ambient mode anyways and their less conspicuous. A recent firmware patch also allows them to connect to 2 devices at once. With the WF1000XM5 just around the corner - maybe the price of these drop...

Exactly, I think these are massively overrated.

I've had many pairs. RHA, XM3's, Cambridge Audio, Klipsch and nothing comes close. Maybe the Melomania 1+, but I have only just got them.

Purchased these off the Sony website as a refurb for £129.

They were in excellent condition when they arrived. Just the outer box was damaged.

These things are superb. The noise cancellation is very good  as is the Ambient mode.

As mentioned above, they’re chonky bois - so the fit whilst good overall, can be a bit fiddly as the body of the unit bounces against your inner ear during walks should you not get a good fit.

The foam tips are good but Comply foam is better, however both foam tips don’t last that long. You’ll probably end up trying silicone tips at some point.

The case could do with a lanyard hook so you can hang it off a keyring. The magnets for the buds are very strong.

Too early to talk about battery life as I use them on commutes to work and back. (edited)

Not loud enough, crap battery life after a few months and they always fall out.

These were my worst buy of 2022.

Not loud enough! If you are planning to listen any louder you'll damage your hearing

Bought 2 separate pairs of the WF-1000XM4 more than a year ago and the left earbuds on both units started having severe battery issues after 1 year and 2 months. I had to order replacement batteries from AliExpress and change the batteries myself. (edited)
