Create your very own one-man party. These Sony headphones have a QN1 Processor which is in charge of cancelling noise around you, so you can get lost in the sound of your music. Thanks to 40 mm drivers and support for High-Resolution Audio Wireless everything will sound its best – with rumbly lows, clear vocals, and bright highs. Adaptive Sound Control automatically adjusts the sound profile to your environment, so you'll always get the most out of your music. Speak-to-Chat will pause your music when you start having a conversation and resume playing once you're done.

Good to know

- The microphones use precise voice pickup tech to make your voice clearer on calls – even in a busy office
- With up to 30 hours of battery life, you'll have enough juice to listen for days
- Thanks to quick charging, just 10 minutes on the charger will give you up to 5 hours of play time
- Have 2 devices connected at the same time and switch between them automatically
- The earcup controls let you control your music, incoming calls, or summon your smart assistant
- The included carry case will keep your headphones safe and sound, even in a stuffed backpack

Got my pair from Amazon on Black Friday last year. Was open box from Amazon Warehouse, but they were perfect and about £160. Never paid that much for headphones before, but can 100% say they were worth every penny. Especially on my recent flight to Turkey, where there was a drunken idiot talking crap the whole flight in front of me and a baby screaming the whole flight. Turned them on and blocked it all out. Didn't even listen to music. Had a great sleep on the flight with all the commotion going on around me. (edited)

Are these major better than the 1000MX3 can anyone tell me who's had both?

No, not much in it. Some actually prefer the sound of the 3s. The 4s have multipoint Bluetooth, so you can be connected to two device at once which some really like.

What is the 8% reward gateway you speak off?

If your employer is signed up to a site which provides discounts on purchases of gift cards (Reward gateway is an example) last time i checked it was 8%, so buy £200 worth of vouchers for £184, then buy the headphones

Paid £198 (Inc £10 off for using the app for the first time) from JL yesterday with 2 year warranty.

Extra years warranty is nice (and they put in their terms that it is transferable if you sell it to someone - think that helped me sell my wf-1000xm4s for a fair bit more than others on ebay recently).

Picked up seinheiser hd599 SE on sale for £70 on sale yesterday. Yes they are wired, but the sound quality is much etter for a third of the price

I think people are buying these for when their on the road or travelling and want to listen to their music without any background noise through the noise cancelling but also have a good sound quality...if your at home then you would buy a pair of hifi headphones

100% recommend these. Honestly, you won't regret it.

I have the XM3 and can confidently say they are phenomenal for the money. I don't get blown away by tech these days but the XM3's are something else. These would be better but only incrementally so as you are really trying to better something that is already perfect. Heat for the price.

Excellent headphones. Have the XM3 and XM4.
Excellent noise cancelling. Xm4 has additional
Features over the 3, and I think it’s worth it
