Last month I bought TWO reusable toasted sandwich bags in one of the £ shops and have not stopped eating toasted sandwiches since then. Just make up a sandwich and slide into the bags, place in pop up toaster and wait.

    49855703-Pqfc8.jpgCheaper and easier?
The packet says reuse up to 50 times but I can see no degradation so far.
Longer lasting bags (100 or 300 uses) are available for a bit more.

I bought my mum one for Christmas and she loves it. Makes loads of toasties. She has a sandwich maker but after a while the non stick goes and a pain to clean when they leak. Mum loves this and was a good buy. I’ve now bought myself one and it’s always getting used. I buy ALDI’s thins as they are slightly bigger and cheaper too.

Awesome but of kit ! As for the not sticking just add a little water to the edges and then crimp and it’s works fine with any filling .coronation chicken sandwich filler is my fav !

The thins are very expensive.... plus one mistake means a trashed toaster

Air fryer is the easiest way imho ! You don’t have to use thins either - shed loads of “recipes” on FB sites that have used different things (bread / hot x buns 👀) (edited)

I don't use thins I use normal bread and it works a treat in the airfryer.

Or buy a sandwich toaster for not much more?! (e.g. 3 quid more from Argos)

These days you get toastie makers where the plates pop out so that you can put them in the dishwasher, if you’re not happy with simply wiping them, which is good enough most of the time

They don't really work as described unless you have cheese inside as the glue to stick everything together! Problem is I don't like cheese

You are the first person that I’ve ever heard say that.
I’d go to the doctor and demand cheese therapy and hypnotism. Without cheese, human life as we know it has no future and cows will be unemployed.

I just make the sandwich and put it in the air fryer for 2 minutes.

So, this is just a device that claims to crimp bread? It does not make toasties, but at most makes a crimped sandwich?

    Am I correct?
    steve252's avatar
I think you are correct, nobody with first-hand experience apperars to be contradicting that.

Pants! I got the two last week for £20. I don’t need two (can’t really see why you would) so one going to daughter. I have to say, they may seem expensive, but they are good little gadgets to make a decent snack. Combined with an air fryer (about 7 mins) they are great

Do you need to add anything to the outside of the sandwich like oil/butter before air frying?
  11. Chewster's avatar
Don’t need it but want it. Bought!

Surely you could find something square like a tupperware tub the same size and press it into it then do the same thing saving you a tenner?

tried this and threw it into a deep fat fryer at mcdonalds, it did not work.

For anyone considering buying one, just check you understand the dimensions of it. It's exactly as described

I'm bookmarking this to see how many people post back about how rubbish they are because the crimpet broke their toaster/grill/oven..

I don't see this reduced often so nice find, thanks.

I don't think it's supposed to go in your toaster/grill/oven?

Useless items - I have 2 in my cupboard gathering dust.
I wrote much more the last time they were on offer but essentially a poor purchase IMO.
    Charky_'s avatar
I imagine they would be useless if you don't eat many toasted sandwidges. That's the kind of introspection you need to do BEFORE you purchase
