Wise man with great wisdom!

Identical set was sold in Aldi not 2 weeks ago for £15. I'm not saying having separate chopping boards for different meats and products is a bad idea - because it isn't. I'm just saying that spending over £50 for a few rectangular pieces of plastic is not the smartest investment, when that's all they are.

They are cheap as you get a set of them, I would never use the same chopping board for raw meat and cooked meat, fish etc so for me they are great. Each to their own though x

Unless they chop food for you and clean themselves afterwards, I would disagree...

Best chopping boards I have and worth every penny

I must admit I sometimes buy things and ask myself whether I really need it. Anyone who looks at this, and decided yes is mad in my view. Then to think its actually a bargain :-o

It's a £70 bin. Sort yourself.

If you can afford it and it provides a neat and tidy solution, then why not? Personally, I use a cardboard box that I throw all my recycling waste into, it cost me £4 but I did get 40 packs of Walkers crisp in it though.

Just me that thinks it's UGLY and over priced?

I have a small container to put paper inside indoors which then gets transferred to the outside dustbin every few days but i wouldn't have an indoor one for bottles, cans etc as that is something extra to clean and I can't be bothered with doing that XD

Only issue is reviews - look great but it seems that prolonged dishwasher use warps them in a year. Otherwise a lovely practical set at a good price. Heat.

I'm 50/50 with Joseph Joseph. I find some of their stuff is just style over substance and very much overpriced tat i.e. their sink tidy but other stuff like their washing up basins are fab, best basin I've ever used. I'm looking to buy their chopping board set which is probably more expensive than some others but I do like the look of it so prepared to pay the extra.

Because, this site isn't about buying the cheapest possible item. It's about buying things at the best price. You may not want Joseph Joseph in your kitchen, but personally I do, and therefore I appreciate this site for posting deals that have the best price for *that item*. I'm not interested in going to Poundland and getting a set of 9 bowls for £3 or whatever. I'd rather get 50% off Joseph Joseph from Amazon. So thanks to the OP for posting this deal. It's just a shame people misuse this site and vote things cold when they are a good price.

Nope. Some very good products and when on offer are a decent price. E.g. I got a set of three peelers for around £10 from TKMaxx. Aesthetically very pleasing, and very sharp and best peelers I've used. Since then I was a convert and have got lots of their other products. The elevate utensils are good too. And I like their garlic press, use it nearly every day, although it could do with a tool to get the garlic bits out.

I love my chopping boards, utensils, garlic rocker etc that I have from them.

I was about to say exactly the same, I find it hard to understand how anybody who uses this site would consider Joseph Joseph products good value or even safe to use in the kitchen.

Maybe try to eat more fish?

It's a bit of a gimmick really as you will always use 1 board load more than the rest, so for example I am forether cutting up veg on the fish board

What one? They usually have only 4 boards. Do you have a link? Thanks.

You can get the one with more boards from argos and Debenham for £30. Seems like an average price

Great price for the large size stainliess steel chopping boards. These have the silver tabs but with coloured boards. Prime for free P&P

Thanks for this - perhaps mine were a faulty batch, I've just contacted them this morning so it shall be interesting to see what reply they email to me.

After a while these get marked/stained beyond use not a good buy.

They're plastic chopping boards

stainless steel chopping boards? ouch, i don't fancy using your knives after a few weeks of cutting on those! just get a couple of reasonable quality wooden boards (one for meat, one for veg - i got mine for about £6 each from the range) and a bottle of food safe chopping board oil (a few quid from ikea/online). will be half the price of this, won't hurt your knives, and will probably last loads longer if well looked after...

I have these (not my choice) no idea why they are so expensive as you can easily get almost identical ones from supermarkets for a fraction of the price.

My folks have them, some colours are insanely difficult to pull out from the holder! Not sure if dishwasher has caused this. Anyhow, I didn't see a difference compared to the ones we'd got from Sainsbury's really!

Hi thanks for post but I have a different tale to tell. I got these chopping boards (perhaps not the exact same but look the same) and despite having non slip edges on both sides they slide all over my granite worktops. Very disappointing - perhaps I just got a faulty set. Would like to hear of others opinions!

good price, thanks

How do they "add" 200 w?

Yes. Its also a fake 1000w. Its actually a 800w +200w so make 1Kw :-p

Joseph Joseph Carving Set £22.49 @ Amazon
Found 28th JanFound 28th Jan
Been keeping my eye on this as I missed the deal about a month ago. Back then it was £20 for prime members & £24 for standard. Now £22.50 for either which still seems good

I bought a plastic chopping board from Selfridges way back when they first came out and you couldn't get them many other places. The label it came with was really hard to remove and when I got it off , it left a very sticky residue which was picking up dirt etc, phoned then and they told me to take it back and get a replacement. Stroppy woman at Selfridges was reluctant to replace it but eventually did - it was not fit for purpose. But as others have said the board is easily marked and that didnt seem hygenic to me . Scratches, cuts and crevices can surely harbour germs more easily and harder to clean throughly. I got rid of it eventually . Wouldn't buy another JJ board - I think they are mostly style over substance.

The same happened to our folding chopping board and it is also about to split down one of the folds, but used and shoved in the dishwasher daily for the last 5 years. This is the updated carving board with non slip rubber strips around the edges.

The Joseph Joseph plastic colanders with handles are really useful. We also have a different JJ carving board which is sloped (like this one) so that juices collect rather than run onto the counter which is a good design idea but the board itself is shiny plastic without any traction so the whole thing slides around when trying to carve. This one says non-slip so maybe they updated the design. We also have some nested bowls with lemon squeeze which looks good in the cupboard but rarely gets used. The folding chopping board is also a pretty good idea. Eventually the handle came off after 2-3 years but the board itself is still in use minus the handle.

Yes and no. You're paying for the design atheistic most of the time. Only a few of their things are functionally much better than ordinary ones, in my opinion. I have one of their dish racks for example because I loved this design. It's pretty and nice quality, but it has several design flaws. Water doesn't always drain from it because it's in two halves and they haven't made the back feet high enough, so it's pools in the middle. The utensil holder though it's really clever in the way it fits on the spikes, it's a complete nightmare to clean. Unless you live alone, it's a completely impractical size. So erm, I like it. It makes my kitchen look smarter, but it's not quite the design marvel it might appear to be. I don't think most of it is worth it's money. I don't think I'd buy everything Joseph Joseph if I was moving somewhere new. Maybe just the odd piece. This plastic carving board looks like an awful idea.

Love their stuff, good quality GREAT customer service and very innovative
