If you’re registered with Screwfix for emails / brochures they were doing £10 off a £40 spend - might be worth checking your spam mail etc ?

Is there a code you can share? Thanks

Literally just ordered the following deal about 30 minutes ago:

    hotukdeals.com/dea…187

Ordered from toolstation for around £52 with BLC.
Can anyone advise which is better? I can see this uses a spool but the Einhell uses blades. Most of my strimming I do is for the edges of the garden and I do have concrete gravel boards all the way round. On my current version the wire would often snap and it was a faff where as the blades look easier to replace but not sure if I'm going to have to do it more often.

If you have rocks or concrete around edges string is much better. Use thicker string so it doesn’t snap as often

I own this and it does a good job, recommend it

Good price for a cordless, the Titan range is pretty good too.

I want it, but I don't need it

Whats cheap I can buy? Hmmmmmmmmm

Do you have to keep manually pulling strimmer wire through? I have edging stones which always wear out trimmer wires and I just want something that auto feeds…
    bigbarb's avatar
Just used it around my garden to do the edges. Great bit of kit. Auto feed and Wire trimmer work well.

Now I get to experience range anxiety with a cordless strimmer, the joy of modern life.

Or go into rage mode as I do because your son or wife can't be bothered to charge anything......

I've had this model for about a year now - very impressed. The battery lasts longer than I do so that's good enough for me.

    +1
I did a bit of research beforehand too - it looked like a good choice and I am happy with it too.

You can get any number of these things on Amazon for the same money with 2 batterys
    damascus's avatar
Not even remotely the same product

Bought this and the 18v lawnmower to go with it yesterday. Both absolutely fantastic, strimmer by far the best I've used as has the auto spool facility so no faffing on trying to get the wire out. Has loads of adjustment as well. Overall very impressed with the pair of them. Managed to cut all of this grass on one 5ah battery which was then used in the strimmer and and finished with one bar left

Did you find it good for taking out stray weeds on your flag joints?
  14. parishilton1's avatar
Can't really go wrong with this. As opposed to the Titan petrol strimmer I bought from Screwfix that tried to kill me. 10 minutes of use with the brush cutter and suddenly the whole shaft - metal blade and all - spun round like a propeller. Fortunately the cable attached to the throttle safety button wrapped around enough times to bring it to a halt. I didn't have time to take my finger off the trigger it happened so fast. Took the whole thing apart and the bolt that was supposed to attach the upper shaft was sitting inside the clutch cover. Must have barely been tightened in the factory because none of the spindles were damaged before it decouple. Put the whole thing together properly and its been fine since. Death no longer bothers with a scythe.

Good reviews, bought one for allotment, thanks!

Thanks, after viewing those positive comments. Just ordered and can't wait to grab it.
  17. bigbarb's avatar
Just ordered. Good find I almost brought the one from toolstation but it wasn't line fed.
  18. sixonenine's avatar
Are these any good for garden edges against a fence or wall? Have always just used hand shears to finish off where I can't get to with the mower... always fancied something a little less human effort!!!

Any converter to enable dewalt batteries would be good!

Just ordered using a £10 off over £40 spend so got it for £40. Seems a bargain to me. Cheers OP!

    How did you get this?

Bought this last time, it's a beast. Love it
  22. person1616's avatar
    Can someone recommend it?
  23. BlackCloud's avatar
Does anyone know if the strimmer feed works well? Never had one that uses a line and spool work properly yet. This could be handy for the lawn edges around my sleepers.
    martin16's avatar
works perfectly. Has automatic cutter so you never need to actually do anything (like bumping it etc)
  24. Sapphire5's avatar
Just about to purchase thanks op. I’d like to buy some replacement spool/line any thoughts on best one ? I’ve got heavy duty weeds to tackle including thistles ! Thanks
  25. shawnlee's avatar
Wonder if this will work with those ‘indestructible blade’ things I see on FB
  26. ASongOfIceandFire's avatar
Time wise how long are you looking at lasting with these battery’s?(confused)
    KarlostheGreat's avatar
Up to 40 mins to 60 mins

Great find OP, unfortunately I haven't received an email with the £10 off code, does anyone have a code they don't intend to use? It would be really appreciated. (edited)

Can this be used to trim down very long grass before going over with a lawn mower

Absolutely - I have previously done this when I left the first cut of the year late.

Signed up. New email address. Downloaded app. No code. Will just buy it without the code I think. Even though my toolstation bladed one is awaiting collection....
    zinxyx's avatar
    Hi,
Do you mind sharing the link to the bladed Toolstation one you bought, please?
  30. abombolo's avatar
Anyone aware of any discount code available. Nothing on the app for me
  31. raich333's avatar
Where do you buy replacement batteries from for it when it runs out or do you just plug it into mains for a while?
  32. psel13's avatar
Does this include the line, or is that extra?
    YD123's avatar
Included but some have suggested a thicker line if trimming around concrete to prevent it snapping as easily.
  33. iwo's avatar
Would this be capable of strimming a garden hedge with decent wire?
    whymark10's avatar
No. You need a hedge trimmer for that.
  34. sol.ein's avatar
Does this come with a charger?
    whymark10's avatar
    Yes
  35. sadman120's avatar
Is this that great that it’s so hot in heat?
