I have a version of this. If you stack it with trays like in the first pic, things do not cook or take forever while things on top just burn. You have to constantly move things around. Unless I'm cooking fish fingers, I'm slowly going back to my old oven as heat distribution is much better. This is now just taking up loads of space doing nothing. Like most appliances eventually..

Yeah I have heard loads of people say that about this shape/style of oven, and can understand why. I use the air fryer power xl (the tall circular style). I used that for years and still love it. It's ok for small portions altough some pictures from the manufactures show the basket full the truth is just like the one in the op stuff will not cook properly as the heat will not get to the middle unless you keep shaking and moving the food around

Got this one, use it a lot. But, as previous poster said you can't load it up like image, you have to change the trays around during cooking. That said I do think it's very useful. Apart from some racks which tend to stick, awkward when red hot.

That's a conventional mini oven not an air fryer

I've never found the definition of an air fryer online. Do you want to enlighten what's the difference between and mini oven and an air fryer? Both perform the same function.
Certainty the tray style can do everything (and more) than the enclosed drawer styles can do, I have both types... (edited)

    Hi All,

This is the unit I have been waiting for but reading the comments that stacked racks results in uneven cooking requiring regular turning has really put me off - I also really wanted the Rotisserie feature.

I understand that now some models have dual heater elements at the top & bottom which hopefully will cook better - think I may wait to see how those pan out instead. Anyone know of a Rotisserie Type Air Fryer with dual elements - ideally around 14.5L? The standard ones only allow for a very small chicken to fit!

    Thanks!

As another said, they basically all have this issue of uneven cooking if you load it up. The insulation isn't great on it to keep heat and it's about air current. I

For mine (11ltr variant). if you block the air it doesn't work as it should, if you leave space for air to pass through you can get better cooking results. Additionally, more often than not the trays should cook for different timings, ie chips 15mins, pizza 12min, breaded meat/meatballs 25-30mins.
You can adjust tray 2 or 3 couple mins longer on timings. (edited)

Halogen ovens and air fryers do not produce same result as a traditional oven plus you will have to cook in small batches while constantly turning food for even cooking which negates any saving on energy. A small traditional table top electric oven with a grill will probably be more versatile and produce better results. (edited)

If you adjust the temperature of a traditional oven (generally add 20 C) then you basically have an air fryer.

Re comments that food doesn't cook in this one if it's filled like the picture shows. It's the same with the drawer type ones. They're usually shown filled to the brim with chips and chicken. The clue's in the name, it's an AIR fryer and need the air to circulate to cook the food.

It's misleading at best and possibly even false advertising. Maybe one for the ASA to look into.

I like the look of this until i read the negative reviews on amazon.

Whats the difference between a air fryer and a electric oven with a fan are they both the same or work in different ways, I can see this has other functions but just wondering about other air fryers.

There is no difference other than size. It's all marketing rubbish. Think Mondeo vs Fiesta.

    Why returned ?

Could be anything probably too big for the space they have. I've got a innoteck 30L air fryer and it's massive in height and width. But it's amazing.
