    Sd card in the camera. No subscription needed unless you want to save to the cloud. You can still view the footage via the Internet remotely without the subscription.

    The one difference I can note is the newer one is compatible with fire tv.

    Highly recommended. I have one but inside. Good quality video alarm and cloud . You can download app and have live view. It cost around 2.5 month if you want 30 days cloud videos storage .

    I've got one of these in my guinea pig's hutch, great fun to watch their antics from a far.

    At this price I'm tempted to add another for their outside run

    Works really well and I believe you can stream direct from them into VLC or use with a NAS with surveillance / recording capabilities which I might do in future.

    Probably worth it but I personally wouldn't straight after the price rise from a principal point of view. I'm sure come BF it will be cheap again. Depends how urgently you need one though.
