I wonder what's the difference in quality in 4k especially that you can get 8 monster films set on a normal bluray for about a tenner from music magpie so this is effectively 6x the price.

The blu rays still look really good. If you only want to see them, maybe every few years, and have them in your collection, then they will be absolutely fine for your needs. The 4k ones are only worth the extra money if you see them as films that you like so much, you really want them in the best quality currently available.

This video gives you a good comparison of the difference between the quality, that you can expect.

I got this last week at CEX for 22. And as if got trade in vouchers, it cost nothing.
Yes it's an excellent set of films that do look good.

I have the DVD boxset version which came with 3 busts, I doubt there would be better fidelity between a DVD version & this?

Wrong will be a massive difference as they were originally shot on film which has a resolution higher than 4K
