I run a lot, so generally buy a new pair of trail shoes every 3-4 months. My Hoka ATR7’s were really comfortable, but they disintegrated a lot faster than the others trail trainers I’ve had. On Running Cloud Ventures and Altra Timp 4’s have been the best. If you’re just using them for walking around or occasional treadmill/gym use, they’ll be fine.

I’m a pavement runner - using Brooks or Hoka generally - do you have a recommendation?

Could anyone offer some advice please. Had a fairly unpleasant running injury a while back - doctors suspects it may be Morton’s neuroma (inflammation on bottom of foot essentially- a kind of repetitive strain injury). I’ve done a bit of research and hoka seem to be recommended for that sort of thing to help with running. Does anyone have any experience with this and could recommend a particular style of these trainers? Thank you - much appreciated. (edited)

I’d pay to see a proper running podiatrist. They’ll be able to properly advise on the correct shoe and maybe any orthotics you might need to correct/protect. I had that a few years ago and it changed my life.

If you're interested in Hoka's, most of these are cheaper on SportsShoes using the 10% & free delivery codes often flying around (edited)

I bought a pair of these in the M&S sale for £65 but just felt like I had great big clod hoppers on and felt like correction shows. Wishing I’d kept them now as never seen them as cheap in my size since, maybe they’d have grown on me.

Been wearing these for years , great for arthritis of the big toes. Am certainly no hipster but I've noticed suddenly a lot more young folks wearing them .

Are the heels on these Clifton 8 shoes an equivalent of Skechers handsfree slip-ins? I have a pair of Arch Support slip-ins and they are brilliant for arthritis in spine and knee. No more pains trying to just get my trainers on! (edited)

T's & C's are ridiculously long and full of traps. RRP's are way too high and discounts still make them expensive.
