I have an existing 12 month Voda contract via mobiles.co.uk coming to an end and can claim my final cashback amount on 30th September. If I order this upgrade now, would I still be able to claim that final cashback amount from my previous order?

Yes. I've done this before but you have to be meticulous in the steps (if you want to keep your num on new voda contract).
    1. get a free sim. I get asda as you don't need any credit on there whatsoever.
    2. Put in your final claim on existing contract.
    3. Once in your account port number to asda
    4. Once port done. Re port to new voda contract.
    5. Update your number on mobiles.co.uk account.
    6. You're good to go for another 12m

Good deal, but not for me and to make others aware of my reasons...

I am on Voda ending in Oct, but will not be renewing, What does one do with so much data when most places of work and home and family homes have wifi, What we all need is EU Roaming added, it seems Voda is one of the few companies holding out, Im going to O2, ok will get fewer data but still enough for most users, the added benefit of Eu roaming is worth the switch, also O2 contracts are 30 days rolling, another benefit.

Check out Lebara. They work off Vodafone and the coverage is very good. Up to 30 Gb in the EU without extra charges. Try uswitch for extra savings.

Very good deal but as an FYI mobiles.co.uk send cheques through the post for cashback so if you want the cashback instantly you won't get it

I have done two contracts with them earlier and on the third one now. The process is slow but at least submission is online and my bank (Halifax) accepts cheque deposit through their app.

Thanks op. I was just about to switch from Vodafone to iD Mobile. But this offer matches their's, so I can stay with Vodafone and keep the VeryMe rewards.

Btw, mobiles.co.uk, who I'm currently with, went through a bad patch with delayed cheques. But I think it's sorted now. My last one arrived in 3 weeks.

I just did my first ever cashback claim with mobiles.co uk for the July bill. The claim submission process itself was easy to do online, and received confirmation my claim was accepted a day later by email. Was told it could take up to 28 business days for cheque to arrive. Today is business day 29 and no sign of cheque.

There is no email contact under my account, and it refers to a 'live chat' I could either use or can call a 03 number. Could not find the live chat function or customer service email on their site so called the phone number, was held in a short queue and then asked to confirm my details twice (probably couldn't hear me clealry due to the supposed call centre work party happening in the background). Was told they will send out another cheque within 5 working days and I should wait.

To add, vodafone service has been generally poor on London compared to my previous plusnet line (EE). Even 5G is worse than my partners 3 network and there was another vodafone outage yesterday where no one could call me and they got a tone that sounds like the one when you ring a disconnected number.

So far my experience has not been good, and I dont think it has been worth the legwork and service interruptions to date.

My hand was forced with plusnet who were winding down their mobile operation and thought I'd jump on VeryMe freebie bandwagon. (The coffee coupons running out before I even get to try them is another story).

Might stick to the monthly rolling ontracts after this, as it gives me flexibility to jump ship if service is not up to standard. (edited)

I used them a few years back for two or so contracts and even then, sometimes you wouldn’t get the cheques for a few months. I never did found out why but after chasing they do send out new ones.

If I'm on Voda PAYG right now, do I need to port out to another network and then port back into this contract to get this deal? Or can I just port straight in from my current PAYG number?
    FUandCo.'s avatar
You can just carry your number over as you will be moving from PAYG to pay monthly.

I have no idea what I’ll do with 200 GBs but can’t complain, thanks

I have 30gb and barely use that.

I only upgraded last week on Friday through mobiles.co.uk paying almost same but only 100gb data, can I switch to this plan?
    nik1's avatar
14 day cancellation period should apply. Otherwise will get stung for remaining contract amount

I’ve got this deal but to end next month. Want to go back to EE. Anyone ever used rewards mobile?
  13. flyingflea's avatar
Nice deal but I'll never go back to Vodafone unless they re-introduce free roaming. Lebara FTW

Thinking of switching to Vodafone from my current (out of contract) EE monthly with 25GB data with unlimited calls/texts. Can anyone shed some light on EU Roaming? I’ve had no problems with EE and wondering if Vodafone is similar (or better/worse)? I often to travel within Europe for work purposes so EU roaming is important to me.

Edit: Would also love to know of any inclusive EU Roaming sim cards that are fairly cheap? I travel to Europe for 7-14 days at a time. (edited)

I've been called by Carphone warehouse to offer me a new deal (I'm using Vodafone on E2Save) so I'll see what they offer on Wednesday when I told them to call back. Apart from roaming charges Vodafone has worked well for me, so happy to stay. If there deal is no good I may go for this one. Heat added.

Just a warning the upgrades come with a sim swap and Vodafone will not replace the current sim serial number that was on the sim card in your handsets. They will make you use the new one in the post
