sorted by1. get a free sim. I get asda as you don't need any credit on there whatsoever.
2. Put in your final claim on existing contract.
3. Once in your account port number to asda
4. Once port done. Re port to new voda contract.
5. Update your number on mobiles.co.uk account.
6. You're good to go for another 12m
I am on Voda ending in Oct, but will not be renewing, What does one do with so much data when most places of work and home and family homes have wifi, What we all need is EU Roaming added, it seems Voda is one of the few companies holding out, Im going to O2, ok will get fewer data but still enough for most users, the added benefit of Eu roaming is worth the switch, also O2 contracts are 30 days rolling, another benefit.
Btw, mobiles.co.uk, who I'm currently with, went through a bad patch with delayed cheques. But I think it's sorted now. My last one arrived in 3 weeks.
There is no email contact under my account, and it refers to a 'live chat' I could either use or can call a 03 number. Could not find the live chat function or customer service email on their site so called the phone number, was held in a short queue and then asked to confirm my details twice (probably couldn't hear me clealry due to the supposed call centre work party happening in the background). Was told they will send out another cheque within 5 working days and I should wait.
To add, vodafone service has been generally poor on London compared to my previous plusnet line (EE). Even 5G is worse than my partners 3 network and there was another vodafone outage yesterday where no one could call me and they got a tone that sounds like the one when you ring a disconnected number.
So far my experience has not been good, and I dont think it has been worth the legwork and service interruptions to date.
My hand was forced with plusnet who were winding down their mobile operation and thought I'd jump on VeryMe freebie bandwagon. (The coffee coupons running out before I even get to try them is another story).
Might stick to the monthly rolling ontracts after this, as it gives me flexibility to jump ship if service is not up to standard. (edited)
Edit: Would also love to know of any inclusive EU Roaming sim cards that are fairly cheap? I travel to Europe for 7-14 days at a time. (edited)
