This any good? Any drawbacks from people who have this bike?

You have to pick your bike budget and stick to it. Most modern bikes are amazing, lots of complaints seem to be how they are set up (bikes do need a little maintenance).

There's 2 groups of bike people:

    1. That's too expensive. I bought the same one for £50 in 2019.
    2. That's not expensive enough. For just £300 more you can buy this bike which is basically the same but has better gears.

The slightly cheaper one I posted without disc brakes would be good too. Both great bikes from a reputable brand (Wiggle is the parent company) (edited)

Quoted weight looks a bit optimistic with that componentry, and the one review says it's just over 11kg with pedals added and a couple of light accessories, so I'd guess it's over 10kg. That's still quite light for this sort of bike at this price point. .

Cable actuated disk brakes aren't great, nowhere near as good as hydraulic. However, they work better with flat bar levers, as here, so probably OK. Gearing doesn't go all that low, fine for most places, but if you live somewhere really hilly, or you need to get up a very steep hill, it might be a bit of a struggle.

No mudguard eyes, and not much tyre clearence for a wider (more comfortable) tyre. They recommend 700 x 30c as the max.

Frame geometry looks quite nice. My guess is this would be a good ride.

Yeah, 9Kg is very optimistic, my carbon road bike as supplied weighed that!

My 2020 Voodoo Marasa is ~13Kg, with a heavier alloy fork; triple chainset; wider tyres and tubes etc.

10-11.5Kg is much more likely for this Vitus.
