I got one a few weeks ago, seems really good value. Came with Clarks M4 brakes rather than the Deore ones, they work, but are not amazing so if I were going to do really rough stuff I'd upgrade them. Other than that a great spec. (edited)

I'm a newbie to mountain bike specs. I've currently got a carrera but want to upgrade as suspension and back wheel balance feels off. Are these good specs for cycling to work, main roads, some hills, fields etc. I'd prefer a mountain bike over hybrid/road bike

This would be an excellent choice. A 29" bike is meant to be a little more efficient but the difference is minor.

I would have happily picked this up at this price if I hadn't bought a Bizango Pro recently. (edited)

This Vitus dumps on the Talon 1 from a great height.

Great spec with z2’s for that price

The forks are nearly £500 on their own (edited)

I can't find much info about the specific ones that come on this bike.

I would be very happy on that bike, at that price. Very happy. Heat given.

I got the 29 version a couple of weeks back, I would like to change the front chain ring for a bigger one ( 34t) , could someone point me in the right direction please. (edited)

Seems pretty nice this! Quite tempted. Would anyone be kind enough to recommend a suitable electric upgrade one might do to this?

Annoyingly missed out on the 29er.

Was debating whether I really needed to upgrade from my Voodoo Bizango that's now 4 years old. So relegate it to a winter bike and ride the Vitus in the nicer weather.

Great spec this bike if 27.5 is what you're after.

Could I get a child seat on the back? Looks like the frame angle would prevent it?

Get a shotgun seat, do a lot less damage to your bike in the long run. The seats that sit over the back wheel put more strain on chains/wheel bearings etc. In lockdown when I was cycling everyday with my daughter I spent more servicing my bike than my car.

Recently bought second hand talon 2 to check if I'm still into MTB...

Already thinking about upgrading for something brand new and of course better.

Not a hardcore mtb person, probs mostly trails, some gravel and mostly cross country I.guess(don't want road bike as I like mtb for look and versatility).

Thinking about autumn / black Friday deals...

Will this vitus (or any other sentier) will be better than Giant talon 1 (talon 0 will probably be outside my budget)?
