Vortex air fryer, stainless steel, was £120. I set a price alert hoping for it to go below £100, so this is a much better price. I also found a YouTube video that is helpful regarding which size vortex air fryer to choose:

Unfortunately the black version is more expensive, £96.05

Thanks for this post. I bought the one from Amazon for £60, haven’t opened it yet. Thinking, is this one better then the one I bought? Only difference I see is the grill and dehydrator option.

My Scoville one has different programmes, but I don’t know that it makes any difference as you can change the temperature and the time manually anyway. I’m still learning with mine but nothing has been wasted so far. I like that I can cook oven food without putting on the entire oven. I wasn’t after anything more than that, but totally understand that some people are. :-)

That’s a shame. I didn’t end up buying this one myself. I saved the price alert on a few different ones and ended up buying the Scoville one from Asda for about £30. The Vortex was my 2nd choice but I wasn’t prepared to pay the price it had gone up to. I got a new oven last year and didn’t want an oven replacement, more a solution to cooking small amounts without turning on the entire oven for it. I use my air fryer to cook chicken nuggets, jacket potatoes and toasties mostly. I got rid of my old George Foreman (which was mostly used for toasties), and haven’t used the oven for small items since. For the price I paid, I think it’s worth it, especially as I’m still learning what and how to cook in it.

This, or gourmia 6.7L from Costco?

Also, does this have an additional rack so I can do frozen pizza and some chips underneath? (edited)

Exactly how I felt about it. The pre Christmas prices were ridiculous and pure greed IMO.

Thanks op, good reviews so tempted. Also looks like Argos have price matched so if you want TCB & Airtime Rewards might be preferred option.

Have the basic Instant 3.8L air fryer.
1 dial for temp and 1 dial for time.
Food cooks quickly.Very pleased with it.

Is the grill function any different to the air fry or bake function? Or is it just a different preset time/temperature?
    wdh's avatar
    Dunno for this one BUT…
    — I think the Dehydrate function will always run a low fan speed
    — my Ninja 551 skips it’s compulsory preheat on the Reheat function
    — the Cosori Dual Blaze (with top and bottom elements) does vary the split in its different modes
… but airfry, roast and bake do appear to be simply different presets in general

// the Grill function on the 551 expects the use of the heavy cast grill plate, so is different to the typical airfryer. (edited)

Wasn’t this 59.99 afew days back?

This is the plus. Only difference I can see is its ppssibly a bit more powerful and has a couple more functions (edited)

Keep seeing these but you can never fill the drawer more than 1/3 because the bottom cooks slower. Now looking at air fryers with shelves.

Have you tried giving the basket contents a shake & a toss 1-2 times during the cooking time? (edited)
