Collection of five classic Hollywood films produced by Warner Bros. In 'The Wizard of Oz' (1939) a tornado whisks Dorothy (Judy Garland) and her house from Kansas to Munchkin City, squashing the Wicked Witch of the East upon landing. The Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) vows revenge, while Dorothy sets off on the yellow brick road to see the Wizard of Oz (Frank Morgan), hoping he can tell her how to get home. On the way she makes friends with a scarecrow (Ray Bolger), a tin man (Jack Haley) and a cowardly lion (Bert Lahr) - all of whom have specific reasons for wanting to meet the magical Wizard. With the Wicked Witch out to get her, will Dorothy ever get home again? In 'Citizen Kane' (1941) newspaper tycoon Charles Foster Kane (Orson Welles) dies after uttering the word 'Rosebud'. Reporter Jerry Thompson (William Alland) is assigned the task of uncovering the meaning of Kane's dying word, and in the course of his enquiries he receives varying accounts of his life from former colleagues Jedediah Leland (Joseph Cotten) and Bernstein (Everett Sloane), and ex-wife Susan Alexander (Dorothy Comingore). In 'Casablanca' (1942), set during World War II, former lovers Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) and Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman) are reunited by chance in Casablanca, where he runs a nightclub and she, with her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), is working for the Czech Resistance. Recriminations, rekindled desires and patriotic duty battle for primacy as Ilsa's husband tries to outwit the local Nazis and escape from Morocco, whilst Rick and Ilsa rekindle their love for one another. In 'Singin' in the Rain' (1952), as the first sound motion pictures are being made, popular silent film star Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) and his sidekick Cosmo Brown (Donald O'Connor) realise that their latest picture will need to be a talkie. However, Don's on-screen partner Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen) does not have the vocal skills to ensure a commercial hit for the studio. When Don encounters chorus girl Kathy Selden (Debbie Reynolds) and falls in love with her, he attempts to dub her vocals over Lina's. But how will he manage this without Lina finding out? Finally, 'Rebel Without a Cause' (1955) follows Jim Stark (James Dean), a restless teenager always in trouble with the law. His mother smothers him while his father is weak and ineffectual, and the family has only recently moved to Los Angeles to try and save Jim from a life of crime. However, when Jim is picked up for being drunk and disorderly he notices Judy (Natalie Wood) at the police station and determines to ask her on a date at high school the next day. This leads him into conflict with Judy's boyfriend, Buzz (Corey Allen). He is determined to prove himself to his new-found friends by taking part in switchblade fights and a 'chickie' game where cars race to the edge of a seaside cliff.
