Though on paper Silicon Power it's a better drive, but still not so sure about SP labelled NAND. Mainly the compatibility & warranty situation with SP is all rather uncertain. (edited)

Picked one up, I've had two 500GB WB blue running OS and storage for a couple of years without issue, so happy to pick this up.

Decent price for one of the 'big brands'.
    TLC NAND, but DRAM-less.
Tend to be very relaible drives.

Personally I'd go with this Kioxia instead for a little less money.
TLC NAND with DRAM cache -

Funnily enough, both the WD and Kioxia drives are both manufactured at the Kioxia plant (all WD/SanDisk drives are).

If not the Kioxia I'd choose this SP over the WD for £4 less -

Would these level of drives be suitable for a NUC used as a small home server to host VMs for occasional use, and host a plex server (metadata and service only, with videos host on nas, just one or two users max)? (edited)
