Had one & sent it back, range nothing like 300m more like 30......IP55 will not cope with being outdoors all year in the UK

I'm debating in getting this to replace a Byron, that I paid twice as much. It's battery operated and it is rubbish as well. 4 Batteries and runs out every couple of months without any use.

I don't have a link to hand, but have a look at the tecknet battery free doorbell.
I've had one for a year now and no complaints, though the button is mounted in a sheltered spot.

The main feature is that the receiver plugs into a normal mains wall socket and the transmitter (button) is powered by the click press - no batteries! Kinetic!

My old doorbell was AA batteries in the receiver and CR2032 in the button and half the time one of them would be dead.
I don't think I'd go back to that.
