I've had mine going on 6 years. Initially it was very good and the subscription price was reasonable, but it became very unreliable, even after buying a second one and the subscription price has recently gone up, so I cancelled and bought a Reolink wifi for £80 and its great. The notifications come a lot quicker.
There are a lot of different storage options such as micro sd, Reolink NVR and FTP upload, all of which are free.

Can't wait to get rid of mine

    Pretty abysmal

Only the last 3 hours of free clips -have to pay £60 a year for cloud storage

Notifications are awful, often without photos

Doorbell is laggy as hell, often the bell goes off whilst I'm at the door to the postman already, or sometimes after I've taken a parcel. Often hear people banging at the door before the bell goes off internally on Google's own smart displays.

Had that issue with a Ring, already answered the door after the accompanying knock alerted me, only for the ring to chime a full 25 seconds later. This was definitely not a WiFi issue! They'd genuinely be fantastic if they just worked properly!!

I bought one from Red Rock last time they were cheap. It was pretty bashed up and scuffed. Works but obviously pre used and levered off a door frame.

I’ve had one now for several months and I find this so much better than Ring. It works really well and also has face recognition so you can label people pretty awesome.

Anyone found a way to get a cheaper subscription with these like we do with Youtube and Netflix ? (edited)

Great price! I have had mine for about 4 years and it pretty good. Never owned a ring but I think this is better from what I have seen and heard from friends who do. I’m always complimented on the picture quality and I have seen rings notifications and they’re not quick but this nest is. The 24/7 recording works well as well I can scrub through the timeline which is cool.
The face detection is a bit of a gimmick but I think it’s because I have no light on the persons face think if better lit would work better. All in all I can recommend this to people

It's ironic, every time I've had to press one of these, the owner is out of stock

The success rate of actual humans answering these in any sort of timely manner, or at all for that matter, is around 10% (edited)

It's poor home WiFi....needs the perfect environment to Ring the app within a few seconds otherwise you won't hear it for like 5+ seconds

Ordered 2, both came scratched. Avoid.

I find this works very well. I had a ring and it was awful, so laggy it was not worth having. This is great with connection so much faster and I can actually have a conversation with the other person. This is loads better and the facial recognition works very well.

What's the running cost of this? Is there no point getting this without a subscription??

This seller is infamous for selling second hand stuff, not even refurbed, without saying so

Havent found a video doorbell thats even ok let alone decent - tried most of them Eufy was abysmal too - cameras are superb but like most doorbell is shocking !

I’ve got one of these. Better than ring stuff in terms of quality and responsiveness but mine really struggles keeping a connection to wifi but no other devices do. Also after about a year, if it’s had exposure to the sun, the front of it will start peeling off and flaking. I’ve had mine replaced once already for this reason but they all do it eventually. At this point I’m ready to ditch cloud cameras and go to one that can locally record. I’d advise anyone else to do the same. Reolinks get a lot of good reviews in this regard.

Good prices if they're of decent quality.

I've had one of these for a couple of years now. It's worked really well when you're in. It rings instantly and the notifications are instant too. However, it's utterly useless when out and about, the app just hangs on a black screen and you can't converse with the person at the door. It could be WiFi/Mobile data but I doubt it as this happens with a strong 5G connection.

If that doesn't bother you then it's a decent smart looking security camera for the front door. (edited)
