    Seems nice..

If it helps someone...lately, I have done loads of DIY at home from building shed to pantryetc etc, and the biggest pain point I came across was hard to reach areas where there is not enough space to get this in to reach the screws so if you are planning the same get Bosch one with L attachment (or any other band which offers it)

I only thought to mention that I've used this style of electric screwdriver to power homebrew kiddie cars and they work a treat - I would guess that this one would do, also. Strong enough to take the bending forces when strapped to a cross-member with a wheel and stub axle plugged in. (Split pin secures it). Either powered by the two cells (with a series parallel "gear-change" speed control) or using a 6v motor cycle battery. This looks a tad more complicated as it apparently comes with a 3 setting switch for power. So that could be wired out to switches, possibly, and used to give rather more sophistication.

As a Screwdriver - a 3v'ish motor, nah. I don't believe that they can deliver the torque needed, for the length of time that I would want to use it. If it is just a couple of screws to remove/install, I'd use a normal screwdriver. I want an electric one when there are dozens of the things to do. Which around 3WHr just isn't stored power enough.

Picked up one of these last year for similar money. It's not too bad for this price, worst thing is the trigger placement and delay/overrun.

Basically it's fine for a very light jobs but lacks the grunt for decent work and bit cumbersome for anything precise

Also bought last year at a similar discount. Ideally wanted to go for the Bosch Pro, but couldn't justify the price.
This struggles with jobs that need more torque, but overall not bad for the price.

Deliberated as to whether or not to post this deal. Good discount from RRP but still seems a lot for what it is. Might suit die hard Worx fans but I think there are plenty of cheaper options out there. That said, I have a lot of worx tools and they are well made and have three year warranty. Having used a 'stick' type B&D electric screwdriver years ago, it doesnt feel as ergonomic as a 'gun/mini drill' shape electric screwdriver like the one I got from Aldi for £10 a while back. (edited)

I bought this as a possible Dad present but ended up keeping it myself. I've used it a few times and it is now the last screwdriver I pick up and only if I'm forced to use it. The reason is, it is very very very extremely massively hugely easy, cannot be overstated, to accidentally press the forward/reverse button, so the main button to make the screwdriver screw clockwise or counter clockwise. So it means you almost always accidentally press the button and spin the screwdriver. I hate the damn thing!

I got a Lidl straight / pistol grip twist version, and my wife got a Aldi version of this for ??

The pistol grip version is better for grip / torquing down screws - this version I’ve not found the torque delicate enough to tighten without spinning off the head because the unnatural grip.

Yet to find where it excels - but they’re convenient.

Got one of these. Pretty decent. Not the most powerful thing but it has 3 settings to choose from. Usually use mine for access to awkward spots and/or with small screws where I already drilled a pilot hole for accuracy . Recommend at this price and the bits it comes with are decent

These are great - throw a few hex shank drill bits into its box for pilot holes, and it's a really handy bit of kit for light to medium jobs. Well worth 25 quid.

I have one of these paid £30 for it at xmas from amazon. As others have said its not really a tool for heavy work. I got this purely to do small jobs like removing screws on small items like a dab radio for repair ie usb socket was loose.
