Silly name but a nice display. Has some negatives such as pointless RGB on the rear and a cheap stand that isn't height adjustable, but it's still incredibly hard to find an HDMI 2.1 Gaming Monitor for well under £500.

This business is pretty local to me in Staffordshire and I've used them a few times before without any hassle whatsoever.

Free 5-6 day delivery or you can pay £7.95 for a next day courier.

4k at 1440p isn't really worth it. It's too hard to spot the improvement in fidelity over 1440p at this size and requires substantial GPU grunt. 4K really starts to become noticeable at 32" and above. (edited)

Nah. I notice 4K on a 15.6" laptop display personally. Though the difference is less noticeable between 1440p and 4K than 1080p and 4K, which is huge on whatever size display. (edited)

I would never get a 4k gaming monitor from a random brand. I would rather pay more and get it from someone reliable

So something can't be reliable just because the brand is random to you? Makes sense.

I think the biggest question is what exists to drive 4k at high frames - it's a premium GPU requirement and I'd guess those owners will be prepared for a premium monitor too

I'd say this is a better Monitor for the Series X and PS5 rather than PC.

Spec wise there is considerable savings against the known brands who can charge £600 upwards for this spec. The argument abt whether you want to invest in an unknown/known is up to the individual. Some brands appear and disappear, some stay and support buyers with technical support and warranty etc. Confidence in a brand develops over a period of time. So next year, this time if this make is still around, then yeah, i will throw my money at it. But even if the brand is known, they still have to compete with price and performance aspect. Most ppl cant afford a Sony monitor for example who have been established years ago.

Fair price i suppose for hdmi 2.1 capable gaming monitor but I wouldn't be willing to pay so much for a brand i've never heard of, feel like they would sell much better with another £50 or more knocked off, how much are these to produce, any idea? (edited)

All brands were never heard of at the beginning. I remember people having the exact same thoughts about companies like Xiaomi when they came over here, yet they're now a perfectly respectable brand that are generally cheaper than the likes of Samsung and Apple.

Personally, the fact that this Monitor isn't height adjustable would put me off from buying it alone. But I'm unable find an HDMI 2.1 Monitor that's brand new at this sort of price online, so thought it was worth posting. There's lots around the £600 mark.

The argument in regards to "known brands" is flawed.

Very few panel manufacturers at 4k 27". Chances are it's just the usual crud AUO have been throwing at OEMs for years now.

Expect light bleed and dead pixels aplenty.

Thankfully OLED and eventually Micro LED will kick the monitor space up the behind and raise standards for us all to benefit from.

    It's an LG panel

As a side note, I'd rather pay £450 for the same panel that Gigabyte are conning people into paying £650+ for.

Mediocre price. I’ve owned the following monitor in the link below for about a year now. It has been great, although I am by no means a monitor expert. The thing is, the electriq has been on offer at around £300+ for a long time; I would be skeptical to spend £450 for something similar:
