    Totally agree.
My mother's Samsung that we bought for Xmas at around £429 has developed a faulty panel and now just cycles on and off. This is less than 3 years since new.

Totally disgusted with Samsung and it failing already. According to reports it's a common issue.

If a TV nowadays is only meant to last 3 years unlike our LG going strong after 15 then I'll buy cheaper with a longer warranty.
Certainly won't be a Samsung again.

TV's should come with a minimum 5 year warranty to encourage manufacturers to make them last and not ending up in landfill. (edited)
