Apologies for hijacking but I didn't want to DM... Any recommendations for an Android phone about the same size as an iPhone 12 Mini?
Been searching forever and it looks like there simply isn't one that isn't the best part of a decade old.

They need to offer thumb extensions on the NHS

I think the asus ZenFones are the closest you will get.

I feel your pain. Wish small phones came back.

Is this better than my zenfone 8?
    Crossbow's avatar
No, yours is better in almost every way gsmarena.com/com…893
    Benefits of this are:
+ Considerably larger screen & physical size - although could be a downside for someone with a smaller phone, especially if you bought it for this reason!
    + Faster charging
    + Longer-lasting battery
    + Infra-red port (edited)

    Says 8+256gb?

Means 8gb of ram, working memory, and 256gb of storage space for apps, photos etc.

The Snapdragon Gen 2 is a beast
    faster than the a16 bionic

this is a lot of phone for the money, which is par for the course with xiaomi
nit picking- the 67 W fast charging seems slow
standard software doesn't feel as good as the big names (sammy, google)
the aftermarket service isn't on par with Samsung (who recently came over, picked up my phone, repaired it and delivered it back home by courier- 2 thumbs up for samsungs aftercare service)

I still have my f2 pro- still waiting for another phone which hides the front facing camera and gives you the whole screen to play with- damn that phone is good

If it was a more stock android experience, then this would be a good phone. Xiaomi OS is one of the worst I have used.

The processor is quite a lot stronger than the 870 in the F3. I was just having a look on here.

I'm not ready to upgrade yet, but it's good to see improvements.

Not sure I'd buy another Poco/Xiaomi. Miui is a little uninspiring. Bought a oppo Reno 8 for my son and coloros is nice. Plus every time they introduce a new update, there are always bugs that are clearly noticeable (edited)

    you and me both.

Great price, great hardware but software side can be quite bad when compared to the likes of samsung or other more mainstream brands.

Id consider getting another but flashing a custom rom onto it voids any warranty it comes with so its safer just to go with a different brand unless youre not really a power user.

MrSwitch -How does this compare with the former F3 - value for money/prices? My MiA2lite is showing it's age! I still see good reviews for the F3 (edited)

Wow a headphone jack. Anyone tested this with proper High Res music?

Will it overheat and die like my mi 11 this week? Not impressed with xiaomi quality I'll be looking elsewhere from now on.

Please can someone recommend a case for my Poco f5 which I've ordered. Want a very rugged case. Many thanks.
