use xbox 360 controller on xbox series s

Hi, my series S controller has developed stick drift, and instead of buying a new controller, I thought about finding a way to use my 360 controllers instead since they are so much more robust and I have a few of them. I know I need some sort of adapter, but I don't know which one, so if anyone can help me find a way to do this that's relatively cheap, I would greatly appreciate it.

Dont think the 360 controllers will work, but i have been using this whenever it looked like strick drift was happening with the series s controller and the joycons...

Despite the Xbox 360 controllers having USB connections, they won't work on later Xbox consoles...
(I believe MS do this by design so you have to buy new controllers - interesting you can use a newer Xbox One controller via USB on the 360!) (edited)
