To be fair I don't know which Canyon and Trek frames are made there but the fact they show both brands on the site shows many are made there. In the past some brands had their higher end bikes made in better factories in Taiwan like Merida and Giant. I think unlike Specialized some Trek frames and forks were made in the US and they may still make their very high end pro bikes in the US. I've got an old Trek 820 from about 1996 and that is made in Taiwan but I think in the very early 90s they were still made in the USA or maybe just assembled from Taiwanese parts. I don't think being made in the USA is a particularly good thing though. The original US made Cannondales were jokingly called 'Crack'n'fails' and the frames improved when they were made in Asia. Taiwan still probably makes the best manufactured frames overall, at least mass-produced frames.

Polygone are quality Have a beautiful Decathlon bike and highly recommend them. Also the £750 electric bike from electricengland.co.uk is an absolute steal currently.

W_jelly1

A gravel bike wouldn't have suspension, most you will get is a bit of absorption from carbon forks (/seat post). If you want suspension go the MTB route

Thanks for this. That is shocking. Poor sods. Trek is an expensive brand as well, giving the impression that they manufacture all their own bikes. I recall a few years ago one of the Chinese carbon mass manufacturers proudly stuck up a photo of a really expensive carbon racing bike frame and fork they were making for another US company. The photo quickly got taken down but not before quick web surfers saw it.

Thanks for posting and well done on your first post @corruptedo01

Skrzetu

Exactly. Bought similar from Amazon for about £20. Did the job perfectly. I know, I know mine is boiling water in 3 mins, not 1 min 47 sec ;)

ThugBasher

Buy cheap buy twice, this is a excellent bit of kit! Did me well on exercise when I needed to get some scram warmed up.

hoarhouse

it does say they are , but they are tough and a quick spray with scotchgard would work well on these, I would recommend them. if it rains tomorrow, I'll update you.

hoarhouse

I received mine a couple of days ago and they are very sturdy, nice wide fit, so they don't crush your toes (I don't have wide feet, but lots of trainers can be too narrow) they feel like they'll last for years.

makda

Does anyone who has bought them know if these are Waterproof ?

rayanwarn

Yes should be fine.

Was £88 now £44. Half price plus Blue light card or UNiDAYS gets you an extra 15% off but delivery is £4.95. Lots of sizes still available and other coats available.
Luvmyboys

I agree. My sons jacket tore in 2 places and no way to stitch this material without making it worse. (Well maybe it can be done but a bit delicate for me (lol))

I occasionally buy from them if they have the best price for something but I always use the Klarna 30 day option now cos then I'm not out of pocket when they don't actually send my order and I can just cancel via Klarna (this happens frequently with Blacks & Millets as the website stock doesn't reflect the actual stock so they sell people things they don't always have)

RoosterNo1

JD sports ? No thanks....

Glad that you are happy with your chairs. Two chairs for £10 sounds like a good deal that even this lot can't screw up.

AliB4

No need to apologise, you get it, I can see that. Consider PayPal as a safer payment option, and if £100+ USE YOUR CREDIT CARD even if only for a deposit, say £10. With PayPal you get CS, who looks after us, the buyer, and with your CREDIT CARD COMPANY? you are protected under section 75 (I believe it is) of the CONSUMER CREDIT ACT. Companies may be able to jerk us around, but not our CC company, and certainly NOT PayPal (y)

paloma.vaughn

Just as well I’ve never been camping then! (lol) It sounds a nightmare trying to buy stuff! i got an email from them about the sale because there was a deal on here for two camping chairs for £10 from them and I bought them to take on my dog walks, so I was signed up for emails. i have to say the camping chair has been brilliant this summer but I definitely would not go camping!

These are very capable bags. I bought 3 of the 60 litre ones a few years ago for a holiday using Easy Jet. It meant the bags weighed far less than our solid Samsonite ones, so that we could pack more stuff! Heat added

Hi hear Vegas XL camping chairs.
sashforth

I misread your comment. The 10% TCB was at Blacks.

airbus330

Just checked it. From the TCB Chrome plug-in and website its giving me 16.5% for online purchases. This is for the Go Outdoors price of £35 rather than Blacks.

sashforth

I am only seeing 10% TCB cashback for purchases up to £79.95.

Simon

Thanks @daz53821 for sharing your first deal with us. These are perfect for those Sunday's on the sidelines at the kids footy :)

airbus330

These are great camping chairs and worth £35. But for HUKD the price is the same as over the counter at Go-Outdoors, unless you can get the 16% TCB which would make a better deal.
