Good money saving. I have 2 indoor cat and use these every month
Your cat has his own private patio? Nice! Our vet prescribes Stronghold by the way. I've heard frontline is less effective now too.
I wouldn't know. All I know I she doesn't stock it at all regardless of pet type of weight.
That's due to the fipronil dosage. The recommended dosage is 10mg per kg of your pet. According to a quick Googling, Frontline contains less than that recommended dosage at just 6.7mg per kg. Some of it does depend on the size of your pet, of course, as the dosages are changed depending on pet weight. Some doses will be nearer or above the recommended if the pet weighs a lot, but most people's cats tend to be on the smaller side and so only need the minimum dose, hence the lack of effectiveness.
My vet said exactly the same when i asked about frontline for my kitty, they gave me something called "stronghold" instead it's flea, tick and worm treater in one.
