Very happy you two had commented on this as I had forgotten myself to check if the 2500w version had come back in stock and I wouldn't have if I didn't get the notifications from this post. Just bought the 2500w I have been waiting for and free next day delivery as well, can't argue with that.
2500 model is back in stock glad i did not buy from other web sites just saved 20% on top of the £100 off the £219.99 price so only paid £95.99 instead of £119.99
Excellent thank you - the 2500 has come back into stock so for it for 95.99!!!! Fab price Thank you
I got this model a few weeks back for the same price off Amazon. It replaced a Tineco and where this isn't so sophisticated it has far better suction. The battery lasts a while (40 mins) and I believe for £250 you can get the dual battery version of this. It's heavy though because the battery is so big. I like that you can turn the head on and off and when pushing it the head rolls anyway so on the kitchen floor no need to swap heads as it brushes up the bigger bits. For the price this is brilliant. Heat :-)
Do cordless vacuum cleaners have a good enough suction? I’m trying to decide between this and the Miele C2 deal that was posted a week ago. I live in a 2 bed flat with mainly carpet flooring if that makes a difference.
Maybe VAX has changed their ways but I'v had poor experiences with their budget models. breaking belts etc. Got a corded dyson from their outlet a few years ago and it hasn't needed any repair or lost any sunctiion as far as I can tell
I got refurbished one (from VAX on ebay, they only come with 1 year warranty) for £139 after the Batteries on my old Blade 2 max only lasted 10mins and has an issue with one of the wheels (it about 3 years old and we got it free from a 5 years old stand up battery vax hover that failed on us but was still under warranty) I cannot notice anything diffrence between the 2 apart from the changeable battery (all parts fit each other machine) The only issue I would say is the Batteries charger for this Blade 4 is designed wrong as you cannot wall mount it duo to where the cables comes out :( a refubised one on ebay (from VAX) is £179.99 (but only comes with 1 years warranty. where i beleve a new one comes with 2 years)
This looks good. Great reviews online. Need a new vaccum so going to order. Thanks op.
Was out of stock before this was even posted! (annoyed)
Out of stock at this price.
I was in the same boat as you , I already owned a bissel and it had been sound but was probably 10 or 12 years old and the last Vax I had was one of those bright orange darlik things that were pants at best . Anyway I debated between the vax platinum and another bissel . The vax had a 1200 watt motor and spinning scrubbers rather than the spinning bar the bissel had which also had the heated tank which the vax didn’t. I went with the bigger motor as you put hot water in the machine anyway and it gets used before it’s had chance to go cold and thought the scrubbers would work better. I got a free floor steamer with it for £250 I think. The machine has been spot on , I had a problem with the small tools for the stairs that the plastic locking tabs on to the hose broke off with little use . I spoke to Vax and sent pictures of the broken parts ( which still work tbh ) yesterday and this morning I received an email saying that the parts are in the post , so I can’t fault the customer service. The light clean setting is good too , carpets dry in around an hour with heating on and a humidifier. I’m pretty happy with it , hope this helps. Btw there’s a new version out now too
What about for v large rug? I actually have carpet cleaning products already just no machine etc so I could clean myself just not sure how to and as I’ve never cleaned rug before. Can anyone help with this?

Ordered Boxing Day lasted a week, disappointing product
Anyone has any idea on the below from Costco please? In-store Costco only - £119.98 Reviews welcome from existing customer. Black & Decker 18v pet stick vacuum - BHFEV 182CP-GB. Reading and Oxford stores but unsure about others.
I would avoid the OnePWR Blade 4... I had 3 floorheads stop working, overheat and then melt the plastic. Had to be returned. Customer service was very good however.
I've got this ONEPWR Blade 4 Vax. Not with the pet part though. I'm happy with it. I've not got carpet though. I tried it on a rug I've got behind my front door. It worked well on that. :)
Go for the Dyson V7 instead.

If you compare bagged Miele with Cordless Dyson or any other brad there is no way Dyson is even close. Cordless vc even with inverter motor reaches maximum 40W of suction power whilst regular bagged model 250-300w on average. You can't fool the physics.
Mate you haven't tried the Dysons they are incredible. Worlds apart. Not as powerful as my meile but close enough.
Have the standard vax4 and can highly recommend 3 settings normal, power head and boost. Does the job
With all fairness none cordless vc is good enough for vacuuming, unless you have only hard floors and no pets, children. The best option is bagged cylinder. Not only more efficient but also more hygienic.
I concur. I bought a Shark Rocket many years ago, the best vacuum I have ever owned, it is still in daily use. I bought a second Shark Rocket and a Duo Clean, both are absolutely dire, I would say gathering dust but they aren't capable. The duo clean was so bad they replaced the body/hand held unit as I thought it wasn't working, it made zero difference. I have just bought a Dyson V8 as a second vacuum, Shark days are over.
Does this have the 6 year warranty that doesn't actually cover anything apart from the motor? My advice is to avoid Vax and buy a brand with a decent warranty.
Oh I was about to buy this after my dyson stick vacuum has failed after 6.5 years but now not sure. Update: Have purchased from JL so that I don’t have to deal with Vax CS, thanks for the tip off for those who commented on your post.
Yes they work fine but they just are not made to last!
Am glad I bought via John Lewis now so I don't have to deal with Vax CS. Was the Vax decent when it was working?
Yep that is what happened to two previous products I tested from Vax. Both under a 6 year warranty and VAX did not want to know. Their CS is awful.
