Can't even get a second hand one on chrono24 for that money these days (in Europe at least). Regretting not grabbing one a couple of years ago for 1800 quid

They’re brand new and I don’t know where you heard that? There’s pretty much an omega sale on 24/7. (edited)

I'll still wait. Selling luxury Swiss watches in January is a difficult thing.

When do you think the sales will start (Boxing day, New year, etc..)?

Last year I found the lowest prices around 10th-15th January. Really low. That was before face masks and eighteen mile tailbacks. I'm not saying prices will come down, I'm just patiently waiting to see. I do think 2021 will see a big reduction in the sale of goods that are luxury and expensive. The financial impact of this year hasn't fully hit yet.

Stunning, but I've got a feeling we'll see even heavier discounts after Xmas. Beautiful watch though and good price.

    Nice price.
I have such skinny wrists anything over 40mm (even that’s a bit of a push) looks ridiculous!

    I couldn't live with a watch without a date.

My 38mm Speedmaster FI special Schumacher edition (with date) was just £1100 - albeit that was 18 years ago. A service cost over £500 though. It's madness but I love it: worn every day, not 'curated' in a collection somewhere. (edited)

I bought mine on a bracelet for £1250, albeit 2nd hand, about 4/5 years ago. Prices have gone mad

I bought the sapphire sandwich on the bracelet earlier in the year and it’s been on a bond nato since the day it arrived. It’s a watch that looks good on anything, I’m gonna pick up the rallye deployant strap when I can get to my nearest OB after lockdown lifts.
If you want one of these and aren’t bothered about the new master chronometer movement then I would jump on this!! Maybe you’ll save a couple hundred quid in the new year or maybe they’ll all be gone and you’ll be finding an extra £2k for one

The GMT is a superb watch. I looked at the Pelagos, but fell for the GMT. I believe the bracelet on the Pelagos is a work of art.

Don't buy a Breitling expecting it to hold its value, they don't. TAG drop a bit as well.I know I own all of them. The Breitling was a heart over head purchase. Should have bought another Rolex. Some do, some don’t, it really depends on the model, if it gets discontinued, if it’s hard to get hold of etc etc.

I'm same as you I dont particularly like the leather strap, but if you read the description I think it does actually come with another strap or 2. Nato and velcro, unless I've got that wrong

These have been discontinued as mentioned above

good price for a nice watch and best I can see (im looking for one of these for myself on a bracelet at the moment)

but as they have been discontinued and they don't have them in stock don't be suprised if they turn round and cancel the order if they find they couldn't order one in

I'd love to get an Omega in the near future but I'm not much of a watch geek or whatever. For I know from personal experience, a saphire glass is a must... What else would you guys say is a non-negotiable... Budget 5k
