I had the 63mbps from Vodafone , it was very poor , speeds would only average 15 to 20 mbps, their software doesn't let you change wireless channel if you are experiencing network congestion, their customer service routes you through to a foreign country and the people there are just reading off scripted sheets, they go round in circles and never solve anything, my advice is to look around for a better provider

Most of my family members have moved onto Vodafone without any issues if anything better than Virgin, I guess it just depends on location. We never had any issues for over a year with my family members they recommend Vodafone Broadband.

Never taking out another contract of any type with Vodafone.

Don't get me wrong. Things are great when they are great but if you have a problem then you will regret every second until your contract has ended. Their customer service is non existant.

I had Vodafone fibre 200Mbit for over a year now and before that used to have virgin media on different contracts for at least 5 years. I would go with Vodafone. Has been more reliable, no outages and no issues with speed.

Virgin media I had constant problems with - slow speed, mysterious slowdowns when using torrents and just days without any internet. When I call and complain they just give me the runaround.

I'm on the 63mb like Jobbers.

Mine has been perfect the past two years - I was with Virgin bb before but when moving house Virgin couldn't supply. It was either Sky or Voda due to cost. Both missus and I work from home (and that's before Covid lol). I was dubious and worried but it's really not skipped a beat - must say, I've been really impressed. We're also quite heavy downloaders, with xbox, netflix, plex content etc, so around 5-800gb/month without issue.

Currently paying 15ish/m effectively thanks to a previous deal that was posted on here which I'm happy to pay.

Frustratingly, just like with mobile reception, you're only going to know if you get the speeds advertised once it's installed and hold your breath, although you have 14 days to cancel the contract if you're not happy.

I was with BT for 15 years and never once had to ring Customer Service and didn’t need any extenders even with external security camera …moved to Vodafone 6 mths ago and had nothing but problems with speed and had to get an extenderi get nowhere near the speed they said I would get..can’t make any claims as the Broadband App is useless…
customer service is terrible …says you get direct access to UK engineers …not a chance ..you end up having to escalate each issue … (edited)

Will keep reminding people that each time I have taken one of these voda deals I have had to argue and fight to get my voucher from 'giftcloud'. Make a note of when your 90/120 days is up and prepare to dig in and fight for it. Also screen shot and make a note of the times you sign up and keep all your sign up paperwork. Top deal but I would be hesitant to go through it again. The voda broadband has been fine though.

I’ve had it for a year and a half. It’s been very stable but it can go slow. I do have around 20 devices connected.
I was on Virgin before, it was a lot faster but always cut out.

I’ve also found Vodafone’s customer service to be much better than Virgins.

I am going live with Vodafone next month, on two occasions I contacted the customer services team, can’t really fault them. I used different contact channels as well, chat and phone; my query was dealt with promptly.

Oh, didn't know that. So what happens if once switched and connected and find your internet is absolutely rubbish and not getting the designated speed? Fortunately many of us are all good but I wouldn't be happy if I find that speeds are way off what they advertise.

I left Vodafone when they could not get their act together and send an engineer out to rectify a fault on my line, which was ongoing for over three months. I eventually managed to get £200 compensation from them.

Customer service was appalling, call centre appears to be overseas and it is impossible to get past their 2nd line support also overseas.

BT sent an OpenReach engineer with 24-hours of the fault being reported, after I started my new service with them. (edited)

MSE said the voucher is for £120 but, when I click through on the links, the value of the voucher is only £100.

    * Just put in my postcode and been informed, as I'm in central London, there's no broadband available with Vodafone anyway! (edited)

Not had any issues with them but then I was switching from BT (was out of contract) so I had a good idea of what speeds I could get. Only other provider round here is VM and previous experience with them discounted switching back. Currently paying £26 for BB and phone and average 43Mbps download speed. You can easily switch out their router for your own. Running your own gear gives you more control and is often much better performing.
