We got this last year, it's ok - it is plastic but has decent large (plastic) fittings which seem pretty robust.
Cushions are comfy enough and fit inside the table for storage.

Only put it up a few months ago so time will tell how long it lasts.

Haven't seen a cover for the set though, so would be interested if anyone has found one that fits!

    Tool free assembly?.
So nothing to tighten to keep it falling apart.

Picked this up this morning as a throw away set to go in the far end of garden. Despite being entirely plastic surprised the fixings make it pretty robust and cushions will fit int the storage box. These were flying off the shelves this morning glad my car was large enough to handle the size of the box!

Btw 3 year warranty. Having claimed in the past on a parasol, they generally will jst refund money as impossible to repair/replace (edited)

I managed to get the whole box in a Ford Focus hatchback with the seats down at the back. It took quite a bit of time to assemble properly and cursed a lot during too. However, when all was finally put together... It's not that bad for the money.
I got the 12 quid of vouchers too on the lidl app and afree bakery item and a scratchcard win of 50p off some frozen bag of fruits

I just finished putting this up, you know what? It’s not that bad considering. I had to cut the back panel tabs as they didn’t line up, but with that, everything was sweet.

Do note, the cushions are awful.

With all these cost increases we must be getting close to the point where it would be cheaper to use our own plastic waste and start manufacturing stuff like this in the UK creating new jobs and stop relying on other countries. (edited)

You reckon Lidl paid £100 per unit to ship this over from China?

Can’t believe there’s a debate about how much Lidl paid for shipping. Some lonely fkers on here

Buy middle aisle at Aldi or Lidl and buy twice - pretty much my experience.

Ha last year just managed to get one and unbox it to fit it in my car. Only to get it home and realize it was broken. Straight back to shop. (edited)

Considering China subsidises international shipping and freight . I'd be amazed if they paid over £4 a unit

Read recently how fridges used to cost about £12 to ship and now are costing £80 so may be about right for this...

I was in Lidl earlier this afternoon and there was a guy putting these together (having a nightmare with it too 😄) I wouldn't touch this set for £200, would save up and get a decent version.

Although I do agree with the previous post...the Lidl warranty makes it a little more attractive. (edited)

We've had loads of decent power tools from the middle aisle. Perhaps you've just been unlucky with your choices.

Just seen this set in my local Lidl. Any feedback from those who’ve had it for over a year now?
