You require about 0.9 cuic metres of hardcore, from what I know 1 cubic metre = 2 tonnes so I say you need 2 tonnes.
abt 2 inch deep i think. we went down 5 inch from the damp course then had type 1 compacted down then layer of cenet with 40mm thick slabs on it. took 2.5 tonnes of type 1 and abot just over 1 ton of sand.
2 inches is approx. 51mm.
18 x 0.051 = 0.92cu m.
So if you round up, you want to cover an area of 1 cubic metre, so you'll need 2 tonnes of hardcore.
Simples....
Hmmmm... I think he might need to stretch it to 52mm !
What are the actual sizes Jaybird?
WOuld help but its broken today!

Well - - I think you'll need to provide more information than that, Jim - - and, of course, you could always ask Rod Stewart
