Multiple Garden Furniture Products

As a precautionary measure, we are sending replacement cushion covers to all customers who have purchased the following garden furniture products between 13th February 2022 and 20th April 2022 only:

Our supplier has advised that the cushion covers’ fire-retardant effectiveness may deteriorate over time. All affected customers should dispose of the current cushion covers and await their free replacement covers. The cushion and all other parts of the products are safe to use without the cushion covers.

Customers who have purchased these products in store are asked to contact our Customer Service team on 0800 042 0800 (UK) and 1800 991 828 (Ireland) to arrange delivery of replacement cushion covers.

Customers who have purchased online in the UK will be contacted via email and automatically sent replacement cushion covers.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation.

1000s of fire retardant cushion covers will be for sale on ebay. That is top scalping.....they'll make money on the sale and then additional cash in the replacement covers business.

I guess if people were prepared to pay the astronomical prices that some of the ebayers were charging for these chairs over their original RRP then a few extra quid for a replacement cover won't be an issue?

It might but then again it might not. They may have given a rough date when the replacements would be delivered.

I guess if you don't smoke, friends and family doesn't smoke & it won't be near a BBQ You'll just have replacement covers for when everyone does start smoking... Everything will be just fine with your none fire-retardant cushions and then one seemingly fine summers evening the wind blows a neighbours flicked cigarette butt right in the middle of one of your lovely clean none fire-retardant cushions and boom you have an instant boom fire... And you say I knew we should have changed those cushions! When the smoke has eventually cleared by the morning... you think err, I wonder if we could send some of those chard remains back to Aldi and get a replacement

Had email but nothing so far. Emailed aldi to ask when will i get a replacement and they wanted to collect the faulty one first? . No idea why they would want a used cushion set. They truly are .

I was wondering if anyone had received their replacement cushions yet? I had the emails months ago (I bought 2) no sign of any replacements nor any message asking for the ones back - I thought we had to dispose of those ourselves?
As for hermes/evri the least said about them the better after our last delivery, I believe it was originally a crystal light fitting consisting of 128 golf ball sized crystals, the couriers delayed delivery for 3 days.... must have been looking for the tape and 25 missing crystals that were still missing at the point of delivery (they put 5 broken ones back in the box) same service no matter what they call themselves.
