Hi all, I have had a word with the HUKD Moderators as to why my deal is marked as expired - it has something to do with the fact promo code HUKD30 is now suddenly showing as "expired" (was working fine when this deal was first posted) so the offer price of £549 may no longer be possible. If the code happens to work again, will re-activate deal.

    Thanks. (edited)

    Couple of questions

    1) is the Camera 100MP or 200MP as it states both above ?

    2) Is the OS clean Android and not MIUI ?

    There are 2 models.
    12T has 108MP + MediaTek CPU
    12T Pro has 200MP + Snapdragon CPU

Both will use MIUI 13 (edited)

    Ive been watching this, waiting.
But now seen the deal on the Google Pixel 7 Pro.
I need good camera and bright screen for watching movies/tv shows...recommendations?
Not bothered if its contract or outright buy as my sim deal with Voda is up next month and can upgrade now.

T series are mid range phones, pixel 7 pro is the flagship, software is much better, cameras will be much better due to the software processing google offer and screen is lower spec than the pixel plus not as bright at 900 nits Vs 1500nits although it is Dolby vision compatible. (edited)

Why can't the deal be edited to remove the HUKD30 promo code and unexpired? It's still a good price at £579 with free tablet.

I queried this in the morning and was told no - that they not allow deals to be amended to a higher deal price after the deal has been live and received votes.

I simply do not have the time to go back and forth over deal specifics with the Mods so left it at that and updated the community from my side. (edited)

Has anyone managed to get the tracking information? I can't figure it out. It says the phone was despatched yesterday though so that's good I guess
    Mr.Nutts's avatar
    Mr.Nutts
Just to clarify, can you see a tracking number on your Mi account that has a long code, with 155 in the middle? The DPD tracking number starts with that and misses out the final 6 digits.

E.g. if it was ABC123415567891011121314151617, then the DPD tracking code would be 15567891011121314

Try again as above, and then try removing the 155 in case I’ve misremembered and the DPD tracking number starts after that.

Mine said delivered then when I tracked it, it said delivered to local collection point, but I had no other way of checking that.

Alternatively, signing into the DPD app might work. (edited)

This might be a long shot and I'm not sure if it's possible. On my old OnePlus you could add individual notification sounds for different people on WhatsApp when you pulled down when that person sent a message.
Is it a Xiaomi thing that you can't?

I think that tablet comes in 3GB ram version too. How does OP know the gift is the 4GB one?
    merb0786's avatar
    merb0786 Author
Because that is the only model available via Mi UK on pre-sale and every other Xiaomi EU site has offered the 128GB / 4GB variant under the same promo.

Furthermore, that is the only model mentioned in the terms for this promotion - so that's how I know. (edited)

Only 200 tablets and 400 phones lol. This seems like it'll all go to scalpers... Yeah even if you stay up at midnight it doesn't seem like you'd have a great chance does it? Hate offers like this, advertises a deal which only a small fraction of people will be able to get so whats the point? Suprised HUKD allows extreme limited quantity posts. I've had stuff removed because it doesn't apply to a large enough amount of people even though it applied to 10% of all households, yet this deal which there aren't even enough of for each person who has made a comment in this very thread is fine? I will try to get one with a tablet at midnight but I feel like scalpers will all be lined up with automated scripts ready to buy them all instantly.
    formsm2000comp's avatar
    formsm2000comp
Just make a note of the price and never pay more. So for this deal it's £600 - £200 for the tablet. So £400 all in. Never pay more for this model and you won't feel left out. Remember it's xiaomi so will be on offer again.

You should always check for previous deal prices as well. Usually someone will mention an item has been cheaper in the past.

I bought these 2 cases for the xioami 12t pro via Ali express

    a.aliexpress.com/_mM…orq

I also bought tempered glass screen protectors for the 12t pro:

    ebay.co.uk/itm…OPY

For the redmi Pad, I bought the following case

    a.aliexpress.com/_mN…lPE

Also bought tempered glass screen protectors for the redmi Pad:

    a.aliexpress.com/_mM…4qy
    !
Apologies, not sure if you can click the links, may need to copy and paste links

Also if you have a new account, I believe you get like £3 off

If you also spend £15 or more, Ali express will deliver all items you have purchased within 15 days

eBay do have some of the above however, they take much longer and a bit more pricey

    Hope this helps

Max I've spent on a phone is £300. Was waiting to go back to a top class manufacturer after getting my current Samsung... this includes a tablet but still over £500. Shame its not the new pad 6.. don't know what to do!

With this device getting 4 years of security updates. Looks like a good time to move back.

What do you prioritise most in a smartphone?
For around £300 and new there's the Pixel 6a, Samsung A52s 5G/A53, iPhone SE 2020, Oppo Find X3 Neo if still available. I'd say the Oppo is probs best bang for your buck for that price.

Only 8gb ram 👎. I have Oneplus 10t with 16gb ram and 150 watts charger bought for only £400 on eBay. I might buy s23 ultra in January if it come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 ( not Exynos) in UK as my contract runs out soon . (edited)

S23 Ultra is on my radar, but if it doesn't have at least 65W charging then it's a fail for me. Google have failed in this regard with the Pixel 7 series, expecting Samsung to fail in this area as well.

It produces excess heat and reduces battery life. I actually have a cooling gel pack I keep in the fridge when I use fast chargers on my phone. That would not be possible with wireless.

Buggiest most annoying phones I've ever used. Awesome hardware hobbled by abysmal software. Problems aren't fixed with each software update and they just add more gimmicks and faults
YOU STILL CAN'T DO A SCROLLING SCREENSHOT IN ANY BROWSER APP!!!!

Xiaomi really struggle with basic functionality.

Gimmick phones not for power users.

I actually prefer miui to one UI. Had more problems with my current Samsung than my previous xiaomi.

For example on the Samsung I can't find a screenshot button from the top drop down. Have to use volume down and power button which is stupid.

Also can't display data usage on sim card at all times like you can in xiaomi. Have to go into data settings on Samsung to see this
