What's it all about?
  • Get 80% off variable percentage final value fees ("FVF") per listing in final value fees if the item sells and pay no insertion fee. A fixed order level fee of 30p and other fees, including any International fees, still apply. Promotion is valid for up to 100 listings on eBay.co.uk in an eligible category.
  • Listings must start during the promotional period.
  • Listings can be auction-style or fixed price format.
  • The promotion start and end dates are included in the email we send to eligible sellers.
  • Items must sell within the first listing period.
  • Only sellers whose accounts are activated for managed payments will be able to activate the offer.

Sounds good, where do I find the Promotion and how do I sign up?
You can take part in the promotion on eBay.co.uk. Only private sellers registered for managed payments are eligible for this promotion. If you have already registered to managed payments, you have received an email with the RSVP link to the offer. If you have not registered for managed payments you will be prompted to update your details after you opt-in. You must opt in to the promotion by clicking on this link before any of your 100 listings start.

Anything else I need to know?
eBay charge an FVF when your item(s) sell(s). The FVF charged per order consists of: (i) a variable portion (“Variable Portion FVF”) which is calculated as a percentage of the Total Sale Amount; and (ii) a fixed portion (“Fixed Portion FVF”) for example 30p. The Total Sale Amount means the amount the buyer pays for an order, including the item price, postage, taxes and any other applicable fees.

The FVF Discount in this promotion applies to the Variable Portion FVF (net of any other discounts) in respect of the eligible items’ Total Sale Amounts. For example, if you would have been charged 12.80% on the Total Sales Amount, the 80% FVF discount will reduce this to 2.56%. The Fixed Portion FVF (e.g. 30p) will not be discounted. Therefore, the fixed charge of 30p per order will still apply.

You won't pay an insertion fee for each of the 100 listings. Listing upgrade fees will still apply and will be charged according to the eBay fees policy

I don't understand any of these ebay percentage deals. Could someone please explain. For example, say i sold 6 items from cheap to expensive and they made £300. What would i get after the fees. Postage is ok l, just the sellers fees please (edited)

Why do these keep getting posted and such high heat? If you're eligible you get an email from ebay about it.

Because I don't always see it on my landing page. So this is useful for me & the 70% works everytime & I'm not notified by ebay.

i know this may sound daft...... do you just have to list the item between those set dates to quality? the auction doesnt need to end between those dates I am assuming? Thanks

New listing or relisted Fri-Mon. Auction or BIN end any time (max 30 days). (edited)
  5. paulleen's avatar
Indeed, you need to list between:
    Start Date: 4th November 2022 00:00:00
    End Date: 7th November 2022 23:59:59
Auction don't need to end between those dates, only start between those dates.

    Hello,

Can you create a draft for a listing and than list it when the deal starts and get the discount?
    woodface7's avatar
Not only that, you can schedule it now to start anytime during the four days. If you use the app, it's under More Options at the bottom of the Pricing section.

Definitely won't be offered this one, seeing as eBay suspended my account... Scammed by a buyer. I provided solid evidence to eBay that showed how it was a scam, but all they could say was to make sure I did this and that the next time... The next time?! I was going to be forced to refund the buyer plus pay eBay's dispute fee, so I cancelled the direct debit instruction with my bank so they couldn't take the money. Account has now been suspended, debt recovery services called in (who can't do much apart from hound me with text and emails) and they won't be getting a penny from me. Used to hear stories like mine and think people were exaggerating about the disdain eBay show to their sellers, but it seems it wasn't an exaggeration after all. Reminds me... Need to report the buyer to the police

They've been quite helpful with me tbh. I've had my run in's with scammers though. I just take photos of everything before I sell it. The scammers get put off then.

Are you offended by 10% at least?
  25. JDB_78's avatar
Not that familiar with selling on Ebay and using these offers, can anyone help?

The dates mentioned 4-7th. Are those just the dates you have to list by or sell by as well. Tried to use the offer once before and Ebay were going to charge the full fees. Had to go through the customer service Chat to get them to agree to the reduced fees.
    Teliffant's avatar
You have to list between those dates and the item has to sell within the dates you choose, i.e 7 day auction, 30 days etc, be careful though as if you forget and it renews the listing automatically you'll be charged full fees if something sells
  26. jinkssick's avatar
So if I have an existing listing, I need to copy listing text, remove it and relist it with this offer? I have an item for sale at only £2.50 but these guys still insist on taking 62p of that. (edited)

    Yeah that'd work

Wow for the first time in 1 year I finally got the 80%. Been ignoring the 70% ones all that time.
Ebay are silly they could have got loads of money out of me if they'd given me this sooner.
  35. Jaenova's avatar
I only get the 70% now, not going to accept

Would have been nice to get the £1 offer as I have some higher value items to sell. But this will do.
  38. SnoopZakaDaVe's avatar
Does this have to be a new listing as I just ended and relisted an item and it doesn't say I've used one of the 100 listings allowed?
    SnoopZakaDaVe's avatar
Just seen that only items listed in single quantities are eligible
  39. Matthew2000's avatar
Does this work for listings you already have on eBay if you relist or is it new listings only? (edited)
